Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Marunouchi, Japan - Railroad and Night view

This hotel is directly connected to Tokyo Station. In the lobby, there is a large railway model diorama that you can be to a kid again.
you can see the Bullet train and the Yamanote Line train going and going through the window.
In the evening, the beautiful night view full of the window expands. you will never get tired of staying in this room.

I stayed there in 1986 in between my travels to other cities. It was easy to get to Tokyo station from there and all the shops and cafes and restaurants. I had MacDonalds for the first time in Tokyo, some years before it came to NZ. It was a quick cheap place to eat in Tokyo as was Mister Donut, the only place I could find that served a whole pot of English tea, which I craved constantly.

Restoration of the terminal building on the Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station was completed in 2012, and it has been a very stately building. Tokyo Station has become a new tourist attraction.
There are many souvenir shops and restaurants in commercial complex built inside of a train station.

@@INNOCENT_SKY I hope to come again one day and bring my sister with me next time. I liked the drink vending machines in the hotel that had miniature bottle of Suntory whiskey!
