  • In this episode, I am finally reaching the Dalton highway - the only road that leads all the way to the Arctic Ocean. My plan is to reach Wiseman, which is the last place to stay before I have to cross the Brooks Range and the final stretch towards the end of this journey...

Noraly has traveled much in the style of past Dutch explorers and traders traversing the world seeking their riches. Noraly's riches are those which can be shared with her subscribers and that's discovering the wonders of the world by motorcycle. There is a profound difference experiencing travel a top a motorcycle from riding in a capsule of a car or motorhome. It's the grit of "place" while riding under conditions you can only adapt and continue. Above all, it's the determination and willingness to endure whatever physical or mental challenges confronting Noraly to travel bit by big bit to reach Alaska. Noraly has been candid and convivial throughout this journey making this adventure something that can be shared without regret with so many people from different walks of life. The great thing about the motor bike is that it has kept you in contact with the people and places you visit. When you are on a bike, you are exposed (literally and figuratively) and people can more easily interact with you. When you are in a big overlander you are enclosed, don't sleep in local villages, eat in local restaurants or see people as much. The bike has also taken you on roads that would be inaccessible to large vehicles.
The views from your helmet cam put the viewer right on the bike and the narration you provide is about the journey, not your personal life. I know nothing about motorcycles but t his has been a great journey to follow.
