- It's the battle of the stylers: The Dyson Airwrap vs The Shark Flexstyle.
I'm a big fan of both stylers, but let's be honest...they're two very different price points! As a hair-enthusiast, I wanted to see for myself what curls prevail the reigning champs. And I'm gonna be honest, I was surprised with the outcome.

@@funnzypink she did and does, very much. She has very thick, curly hair, she mostly uses the curly hair tool, and regularly expresses her pleasure in having the ability to thoroughly dry her hair quickly
Oh I definitely see a difference! The shark side looks wayyy better. I’m always thinking about buying a Dyson but I’ll probably go with shark now

I have it and love it but if u have short hair go with the more money one bc u can get the smaller curl Wands for it the shark is only one size other then that the shark also makes tighter curls I love the shark I have long hair so it works good for me

@@MichelleBorden1995 Shark has two sizes. I found a build-your-own option for shark, and you can customize which attachments you want, and you can get both size curl wands
I use the shark, I absolutely love it. My hair got way less damaged. The Dyson also broke like 40 times in 6 months. I have had my shark for a year and it is incredible. Not a single break. Took a while to get used to, but much better for my hair texture. Also like 300$ cheaper
What is your hair texture I e been trying to discern which one to get, but I have like 3C hair. I’m just not sure which one would be better for that.

Shark all the way, bought my wife one and I use it as well for the hair dryer, sounds like a light saber when turning it off lol
The main difference I see are the barrel lengths which I believe is why the shark curls were tighter/fuller at first. Both looked amazing! I do like the convenience of the Dyson switch of air flow though.
I hated my shark- returned and got the dyson. My hair always looked like a frizzy mess with the shark + dry and dehydrated. I’ll take the hot for the air wrap 😂
the shark did tighter curls at first which is super nice!! by the end, i feel like the dyson did better on the bangs though. too close to pick which one did better

Doesn’t the dyson side look smoother and silkier??? 🤔 I would actually want to see a heat damage test with those two products. My decision would depend on that. I feel like the no heat damage is a huge aspect to buying these devices.
Ehh, it has to do with technique and products. I have the hot tools brush, and there are lots of people who complain about it, but I have less damage, and my hair is smooth because I have the right technique the only reason I would buy the shark is because it's an all in one tool and to be honest the dyson price is not justified either.
This is why I’m watching so many videos. I’ve noticed that the Dyson side is so much smoother and healthier. I’m considering buying the Dyson. I’d rather spend money on that rather than going to the salon and spending hundreds more. I know some people go for the shark because it’s cheaper but I want healthy looking hair.
Had a Dyson hairdryer and used it for a few years until it broke then bought a Shark speedstyler. The Dyson DEFINITELY let my hair smooth and silky but I don't know if it's worth $200 more for something that I can fix with a hair oil😊

You do know that you can rotate the shark by pushing the rotate button so it’s an actual hair dryer and not just straight-like the dyson??

You have gorgeous hair, I absolutely love the color! I have the Dyson but I get frustrated very easily when styling my hair because I have so much of it. I pretty much only use the Revlon One-Step Brush.

The shark comes with an attachment that is just like the revlon brush. I just replaced my revlon one step, beach waver, and hair dryer with the shark. And it tames flyaways too which for a thick haired wavy girl is key!
Shark side is so much better, the curls are fuller.
the dyson started with the barrels being the same as the shark before the shark made an airwrap. I hope shark comes out with new barrels like dyson did.

I have fairly frizzy and wavy so my roots are always wack with these I have to go in and round brush my roots before I do all this so it’s a lot of work but I’m still getting used to the shark but I legit have tried it twice so I know there is a bit of a learning curve to it
Have your tried using a straightener at the roots? I usually do that bc mine can get frizzy

I have frizzy and wavy hair too and I have the same problem with using these kind of hair styling tools. It seems like theres never a short cut cuz that was the only reason I wanted to buy dyson airwrap 😭 I thought I could do my hair while drying it at the same time but my hair always comes out so messy and end up ruining it 😫 Is fully drying and using the curling iron or curling blow dryer the only way??

I definitely think whether the curls hold on a Dyson (and whether you need product to help) is a combo of your hair texture & curl pattern. I have soft, fine hair (just a ton of it) but my hair is naturally wavy/curly, so my hair has no issue holding a style-literally until I wash my hair-even just using Olaplex oil as heat protectant. But someone else who has fine, soft hair that isn’t curly would probably struggle or need mousse/a styling product.
I think both sides look good but the bangs turned out better on dyson.

I just returned my Dyson and getting the shark, it ain’t worth it spending 800 cad in a Dyson when I can get the shark for 350 🥵🥵

Please keep in mind that she only went halfway up the hair with the Dyson and 3/4ish with the Shark. The Shark is going to look curlier because of it. I think she has the normal instead of the long attachments on the Dyson, so she wouldn’t be able to go up as far (in theory)
The shark has attachments for long hair I think. The Dyson one was a bit longer so I don’t think it’s a fair comparison but ok
I just bought the shark combo with everything even the frizz free diffuser it comes with both size curly barrels a diffuser and a couple of hair dryer attachments as well as a case to keep it all in and I spent less than $400 on it all. You can bend the hair dryer on the shark so it’s not a long rod too.

Its looks like the Dyson has the 40mm attachment and the shark one a 30mm attachment
So the curls on the Dyson side are more lose and set faster then the tighter Curls on the Shark side

the only reason I bought the Dyson instead of the shark is bc the Dyson doesn't damage ur hair as much and the first time I used the Dyson my hair felt so healthy and it lasted almost a week

Hi, I've watched countless video reviews of this product and they all basically focus on the styling performance compared to the Dyson. I don't have hair where styling it could change my life since I'm of medium height, fine and overall I have little. But precisely for this reason I am looking for a different evaluation which is Dyson's strong point... Is the hair protected on par or is Dyson ahead in this aspect? Thanks 😘

Thanks for the comparison! Just a small tip- please try looking at the camera every once in a while. It's understandable that you have to look away since you're doing your hair, but it's nice when creators look at their audience. It feels like you're talking to your viewers instead of just focusing on the viewfinder/mirror. Trust that you're framed perfectly from your prep! Just my opinion, though. You look beautiful btw and you're hair is Gorgeous!

It's a blow dryer and styler with six attachments. It basically replaced everything. I'm waiting for Black Friday for the Shark!
To be quite honest if your a person who loves blowouts its worth it because you get everything especially if you have curly hair like I do. I have in one tool a diffuser, a brush, a dryer and a curler and if you know how to properly use the tool you also have a straightener.
