I became an ordained minister yesterday just in case I needed it in the future....sounds like a nice gig.
I was ordained via the ULC in 2012. I am formerly from the USA but now reside back in the UK. I am working on ideas relating to getting more people to know about the ULC. Please bless me on this quest of my own choosing.

Everyone should be entitled to believe what they want and have ceremonies that match their beliefs. It's as simple as that. I myself am an Atheist. You have your God and feel comfort, that's great. For some reason I always wanted to become a Ordained Minister, I mean it's basically just a piece of paper. It's not like some magical being is going to strike me with a bolt of lightning. Is this legal in Arizona?

Captain Walt you can probably become a minister of a church which doesn’t require specific certification, but I highly doubt you could become a CofE minister with it
No you can't. I have tried. They don't recognise it. This is not an official ordination. These certificates can be created on the Pages App. The exact certificate is on there. Sorry to disappoint.
Benedict Cumberbatch is ordained and so is Adele. The website does say that ULC ministers in the UK have officiated weddings but its not yet recognised. Basically the UK does allow it but you have to contact the marriage authority to say who you are and show your credential.

Thankfully it covers every religion because there's not just one 'right' belief.
To think that a certain church forbids becoming a minister. At some point I believe God will still love you no matter what denomination you are as long as you pray to him and him only. This whole "Your going to hell if your not apart of our Church" mentality is blasphemy in itself.

People become ordained for all sorts of reasons! Some to perform weddings for family or friends, others choose to become professional wedding officiants to earn some extra income. And others take entirely different paths -- performing baptisms, presiding over funerals, doing ministry work in prisons or hospitals, or even starting their own congregations.
