This is just superb, I have been researching "wedding speech toasts" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Heyonnor Speechless Eradicator - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my colleague got cool success with it.
It went fine. Everyone said that I was of the best officiants that they had ever seen. She wrote the entire script for me, so I don't really have any tips on what to say. You shouldn't be nervous, you're not the one getting married. Before she sent me the script I looked up scripts to copy and modify, maybe you should try that.
I hope this couple wanted their ceremony to turn out this way, personally, a ceremony isn’t the time for comedy hour, or story time, it’s a sacred vow. However jokes here and there are required for me personally, but not the officiant making this ceremony about him.
I dont think this is as funny now, after covid 19 came. I have lost my job and I think many people may have to live in a van. So no, at this time, I cant find this funny. But maybe I would when they posted it, 4 years ago.
