- House Of The Dragon 2023 SEASON 2 ''Rhaenyra's Revenge REVEALED!
The first season begins fifteen years after the civil war known as "Robert's Rebellion", with which Robert Baratheon expelled the Targaryens from the Iron Throne and proclaimed himself ruler of Westeros. Some time later, and after the sudden death of the Hand of the King, Jon Arryn, Robert invites his friend Eddard "Ned" Stark Lord of Winterfell to assume the vacant office. The latter accepts and, as soon as he arrives in King's Landing -the capital of Westeros and seat of the Iron Throne-, he discovers the truth behind a series of intrigues and conspiracies involving other noble families and related to the Arryn tragedy. However, when Robert also dies suddenly, the Lannisters reclaim power and execute Stark to prevent the spread of their investigations. These events unleash a war between the kingdoms.
We who have read the books already know that this is not gonna end well for any of them. Had they all respected Vicerys final wishes, they could have remained a strong Dynasty but instead the infighting sabotaged their own house and weakened them.
What was vicerys final wish please? The one he talked about aegon de Conqueror? Or his epic entrance to reaffirm Rhyneras thrown where as certain person was allowed to keep his tongue 👅
His first, middle and last wishes were all the same: his daughter be the heir! The story he was telling Alicent was about the white walkers and needing to have everyone support her.

Seeing it played out on the screen was incredible. The 2nd and final plea for peace was gut-wrenching... great performance
her dad died, she had the throne stolen from her by her best mate, gave birth to demon baby and then her kid got eaten, all in about 10 mins....yeah, she pissed

Nothing that "Blood" and "Cheese" will do will equal the cruelty of the "Red Wedding" in which Robb Stark, his new bride, his unborn child, and his mother are slaughtered. I didn't read the books, and was upset for days following the atrocity. I don't recall ever seeing anything as horrific.
Maybe not what they do, but what they threaten to do to Heleana and her six year old daughter if Heleana doesn't comply is pretty vile.

HBO needs to put their foot on the gas and try to get this thing on sooner than 2024. Wishful thinking I know.
That's just stupid and naive. HoTD takes a lot of time to be made along with post production. It took them 10 months to finish filming and five for CGI heavy post production. It's a big show to make and expecting them to make it sooner when it'll only be starting in March.
No, they don’t. That’s the problem with entertainment today. These people are always pressured to rushing projects because of the fan’s demands….and it ends up being shit because they needed more time.

I read the book last year and today I still believe that Daemond did justice to Lucerys and Rhaenyra, this is a war and you play to win or die.

Not only that, but if you remember. In Episode 8 , Rhaenyra says she will stay awhile, and then in the next episode she's just gone.

Even if the children aren't Aemonds, it's clear that he is protective of his sister. Seeing his sister so devastated, driven mad, because of his actions, could be enough to push him over the edge.

Why tho ? She’s dumb and unethical . Visarys had no one else at that time . She is dividing the kingdom and causing war for absolutely no reason at all except personal ambition and narcissism . Aemon is the king the kingdom needs . Daemon is close 2nd . She is irresponsible , inexperienced in leadership, untrained in combat and lacks self control ( undermined her own position and condemned the kingdom to war with her fornication ) . The story is twisted to keep her in the game for PC reasons while in reality her actions would have played her out a long time ago ( e.g. house velaryon siding with her is ridiculously unrealistic while Laenor is presumed dead by her hand)

I hope they change Rhaenyras fate. Imagine the scenario. She’s captured and taken to trial to be burnt by a dragon. Imagine she has the same magical power that Danny had? Where fire has no effect on her… and when Aegon tells his dragon to Dracarys and he lights her up.. she emerges from the flames unscathed and then turns to the prince and tells his dragon to Dracarys and kills him… 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 it would be epic

Well considering that the greens already considered murdering Rhaenyra and her sons including the one she still carried to clear the way for Aegon there is no way I'm taking their side. Also people forget how Aemond already tried to murder one of his siblings as a kid, remeber him holding that rock? That was definitely not to scare Lucerys. Also, I wonder if that way of revenge has something to do with Lady Mysaria (I mean it has to do with her because it's through her that blood and cheese ar hired) but what I mean is that we clearly saw that in order to give them Aegon she asked for those kids ''rooster'' fights to stop.
I guess no one did a thing, so maybe she either suggested it to Daemon and he thought ''great idea this will make my wife happy'' or maybe she escalated the brutality of the revenge targeting the little kid because it's also personal for her. We already know that Aegon is good for nothing and will become a sadist as a king why give us exactly Aegon ''the child abuser'' (even to his own) in that moment.
Maybe I am wrong but I don't recall those fights appearing in the book his bastard did appear though. So we already know that Mysaria will be involved but to what extent of ''how to take revenge'', would be poetic to kill his child while he abused the homeless kids. His sister wife is not guilty but maybe Mysaria doesn't see it that way, maybe she belives that she like his grandfather knows about the things he does therfore makes her watch it. I doubt that Rhaeney had ever disliked her stepsister (the girl is harmless) so why make sure she witness it Alicent being there makes sense, Aemond (probaly the real father in my opinion) would have made sense but complicated Aegon could care less.
Then again maybe she is asked to do this and she accepts only because it's Aegon's son. So that also could explain the why of the scene of her demanding protection for the orphans, yet being able to be part of such brutality againt an innocent when she clearly is againt harming children. I feel like in S2 she will be a recurring character so it's a good way to make her more complex than just the shady mistress of Daemon who is cruel for the sake of being cruel.
The last 10 minutes of the final episode had my mouth drop like I was in such disbelief because I don't own the book yet. Also which one should I get? Rise of the dragon or Fire and blood

In the end they all died but Rhaenyra blood line still continued,so all the plans of the green came to and end and there entire bloodline,so the gods still favoured Rhaenyra even in her death.she is the rightful gueen and would have made a wonderful gueen too, because she cared about the people unlike aegon who was just spoiled little prince..
Damon may not be the most important but he is my favorite

Well it makes sense now why white worm sides with the blacks, and alicent sending larys minions to kill her will backfire, sense Otto been having white worm spy for him, trusted her as informant, as she clearly no longer had no more loyalty to deamon otherwise she would of send aegon to dragonstone and a bill for his capture, she would of probably thought it was aegon because she kind of did betray aegon and turned him over to hand, or when deamon tells her about his plan she is easily persuaded to join his plan as a form for both of them to get revenge

"Cruelest Moments in Game of Thrones". I mean I would say the Masters nailing slaves to crucifixes and leaving them to die was pretty much worse, or the Red Wedding, or the Assault & Murder of Elia Martell and her Children after Rhaegar's Death, or Cersei having all of Robert Baratheon's Bastards killed, or how about Olenna Tyrell starving out the cities to make people blame the Lannisters then promising Margaery's hand + food to Cersei to solidify her position as Queen.
Let's not forget Sansa being assaulted and tortured by Ramsey Bolton. I feel like Helaena didn't suffer the worst; but she still suffered.

The objective behind these heinous acts fall to the wayside. After Jaehaerys, it's about winning solely, as these people could care less about the damage they are inflicting on the entire realm. Unlikely. Wargs are rare and would be beyond the wall.
I think wargs are mostly beyond the wall. Starks can be wargs later on because they share strong bloodties with the firstmen. Their DNA allows them to warg, it's a different kind of magic, the northern magic, not valyrian. Valyrians were masters of blood magic and that's how they blended their blood with dragonblood, and that's why they have magic like resistance to disease and the ability to physically connect with and ride dragons, they are part dragon, literally. The Stark's are from the first men so they have deep magic ties that are northern too. Like there's no point of warging direwolves not being in the far north, there's no reason that dragons or targs to enter that territory until The Doom Of Valyria, when dragons came to Westeros and so did the Targs

Vyseras did name her heir BUT she is trying to pass off Harwin Strong’s children as Valyrian. So technically alicent is in the right. And her son has no right to the Driftwood throne
That shouldn’t be important for the throne, because whoever becomes king would carry the Targaryen name. So techincally he wouldn’t be a bastard. Also The greens don’t care that not a Velaryon would be the heir to Driftmark, they are only concerned with the throne.
