Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, there are ways to record your mix. The audio in this video is actually from the screen capture we did on the iPad, there may also be other methods/apps available.

Is the latency on the S2 connected to the iPad good enough for scratching ? Most performance of scratching is done on the crossfader and the latency must be really short and small to be usable. I hesitate between the combos Traktor DJ + Traktor Kontrol S2 vs Pioneer DDJ400 + Djay Pro.

We'd absolutely recommend the Traktor Kontrol S2 for this purpose as the jog wheels a larger and more suitable. As for latency, the response is very quick and you shouldn't have a problem scratching with the setup.

Does the Traktor S2 MK3 use the battery of the Ipad or has the Controller a own powercable?

The controller is connected to its own power cable, however, you can run the S2 off a power bank - the iPad will charge off the S2 when it is connected to main power.
