- Its time to look into the Yutani side of Weyland Yutani. Who are they? Who is Ms. Yutani, and how many of her are there? We'll also take a look at Hideo Yutani, the companies founder from the Alien Universe. Both sides examined here, the Alien, and AVP or Alien Versus Predator Universe.

I like to think that back in the 70s Dan Obanon and other creators of Alien script used Weyland-Yutany just as a fancy name and and could not have expected all the lore that’d follow it
They imagined "Leyland-Toyota" kind of corporation as a tale goes and than changed the name slightly
@@diagatjl6096 That's the story I heard and it was Ron Cobb (RIP) who invented it. A fitting tribute to a concept artist that his idea is still discussed today.
Interesting. I too want to learn more about both companies. Yutani is especially interesting considering we hardly know anything about them.

Pretty mindblowing to think that the tech Weyland Yutani and almost every character uses throughout the franchise came from Alien technology.
Even though Requiem is not canon it’s interesting to think if Weyland or someone else at one point also came across something like this, and put it to use.

Interesting. It's hard to say what is and isn't canon as far as the recent games go. The devs for Alien : Blackout went out of business in 2019 and only lasted for five years. They didn't exactly set the world on fire. Thanks to Randy Pitchfork and his creative accounting Fox moved away from Sega (despite Alien Isolation) and in 2018 anounced Aliens : Fireteam Elite would be developed in house by Cold Iron Studios. It came out in 2021 and was very average. The games I know of that are in development aren't really cause for hope either. One from Survios a studio I've never heard of and a RTS from Focus. Yikes. This franchise could do with a little love. The dream ticket would obviously be Sega/Creative Assembly.

Would have seen really like actual presence of hideo yutani as the successor to Peter weyland with the merger of the company's after the creation of the character in the franchise added in a future project

I think they should reunite the two lores of predators and alien. But without creating a big mess. Just creating a compelling and interesting story, that doesn’t interfere too much with the main story, but that’s actually canon. Avp was a cool concept, but for me was poorly executed, especially the second chapter.
They are all in the same universe. There is nothing in the prequel films that directly contradicts the Alien vs Predator films!
Ridley Scott literally said he doesn't consider AVP canon. So that means that Alien 1, Prometheus and Covenant are their own separate universe. The Yautja race does not exist in Ridley's timeline either.
No but there is when you delve into the actual official Prometheus/Alien timeline. AvP takes place in 2004 Weyland Industries is already a leading company and is created and founded by Charles Bishop Weyland, however in Prometheus the creator and founder of Weyland Industries is Peter Weyland and he didn't establish Weyland Industries until 2012.

@@MattD402that isn’t a contradiction. Charles established INDUSTRIES! Peter established CORPORATION! A lot can happen in the 8-year time span to result in Peter taking over and reorganizing (Founding) Industries as Corporation.
@@KristopherPrime It's a contradiction because Peter Weyland established industries. It's called Weyland industries during the events of Prometheus.
