Jurassic World Dominion on Kaleidescape does have the extended version, under the Features it lists 4k HDR as Movie and Extended Edition
i just wanted to let you know I found the channel actually looking on reddit for info on dolby atmos vs dts:x, and I'm a patreon now! Love the podcast!
THANK YOU! 🙏🏻😊
Great content, I enjoyed the conversation. First time I’ve listened to this channel, but I would love some type of chapter attachments to the video. I don’t often have the time to listen to 2 and half hour podcasts unfortunately..
I completely understand and if you look at our latest two videos they have Chapter times for all the segments and the movies we talk about. It’s a process and I’m a little slow to learn but I’m getting there 🤣
Thank you for checking it out and the feedback. Constructive criticism is how we grow and learn.
Others to compare would be Jumanji: The Next Level 4k, The Angry Birds 2, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Charlie's Angels, on disc they have DTS-X and on Kaleidescape it's Atmos
I'm going to have to compare since I have the Top Surround and the Center Front Height channels which DTS-X and Auro supports.
Oh fellas Hunter killer is a must see. Both picture and sound is incredible
Agreed that Hbo Max has a really nice 4K Dolby Vision and Atmos quality! I’ve found it to be better than Netflix, Disney+
I prefer the 16:9. I don't want to feel like I'm missing something
I wish DtsX gets more prominence,of whatever BDs i had of DtsX,it sounded more dynamic than Atmos titles. And what abt Studio compression on Atmos releases, ppl have published graphs comparing Dts HD and Atmos versions of War of the worlds and Edge of tmrw. I once listened to a podcast of an engineer who is into Atmos mixing and he himself told that studios for some unknown reasons are compressing the tracks in Atmos, esp Bass and surrounds. Whereas Dts doesn't do any such things.
Love your ch!
I've been in a wheelchair for 40yrs after a car accident when I was 17yrs old. I was a 6'4 young guy getting drafted to play baseball ⚾ when this all went down. I considered cashing it all in especially since it left me a quadriplegic.
But, my Dad and I always have had a love for home theater going way back to the advent of hifi stereo VHS tapes, laserdiscs, DVD's and now 4k HDR movies.
After my injury, I worked for a living and also kept up with big screens like a Mitsubishi 60 inch square tv screen.. Laserdiscs looked great at that time.
Long story short is I'm in my 50's and I finally have my dream home theater system.
I own a JVC nz7 laser projector, a 16:9 dragonfly 135 inch 1.1 gain screen. For audio I'm rocking a Marantz SR-7015 with my Klipsch premier 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos sound system. My friend is currently in the process of adding an extra meridian 5ch amplifier which he's going to hook up to my front 3 speakers and rear surrounds. The rest (side surrounds and 4 Dolby Atmos ceiling speakers) will be powered by the Marantz.
Right now I'm watching everything with the Marantz but that amplifier will give me 200 watts...
I can't tell you how much I love the JVC nz7 and the picture it gives off with the HDR frame by frame adaption. It really makes a difference. The biggest thing I can tell people is to set the HDR level on the JVC to +1. Out of the box it comes in the auto position. Setting it up HDR+1 really makes the picture pop and the contrast levels are excellent!!!
I can't wait to watch top gun on the physical disc. The problem with being in a wheelchair and a quadriplegic, is I can't move my hands so it's a pain for me to put in a disc. I can push my chair around and drive with the help of mechanical hand controls.
That's why I envy you so much with your AWESOME system! Kaleidescope is a beautiful thing and I want it so bad but the price tag is just too high....
How much enjoyment I could get with kaleidescope but who knows how much time I'll have left.
It is the best way to watch a movie...
Nick 🙏🙏
What do you mean “how much time I have left”? Does that mean you’ll move on ?
No, just means I'm a quadriplegic and hopefully, my lifespan will last another 5 to 10yrs..
