When you say they need very little water, how much approximately is that, say for a tree 1/2m high?

Omg! You just explained why my older plumeria has developed stem rot. I had NO IDEA I wasn't supposed to water it during it's dormant period!! Noooooooo

You can probably still save it if not propagate it with some cuttings which are easy to care for.

This falling of the leaves is reassuring to know. Without knowing this, I probably would have thought I was doing something wrong. In southern CA and Hawaii do they do that too? I guess they're like perennial trees. They drop leaves in the fall due to a lower number of daylight hours, not the cooler weather, as I used to think. I am just getting started growing them (indeed I haven't even bought them yet), and I'm gathering as much knowledge as I can before they arrive next month so I can "hit the ground running!"

If you examine a Plumeria one of the first things you should notice is that the trunk is full of leaf scars. Unlike most trees Plumeria doesn't keep the same set of leaves throughout the season, they constantly grow new ones and older ones die and fall off. The leaves at the top of the plant are a lush green color and the lower leaves tend to start turning yellow then brown and then they will fall off. When they turn yellow or you see yellowing spots, always first take note if the leaf is at the top or bottom. If it's at the bottom, it's more likely to be aged and coming to an end of it's life cycle.

Hello, my spring growing Plumaria with new leaves was just hit by a hail storm here in Florida.
😫 It literally shredded all the new leaves. What steps do I take now to recover this and help get it growing again? Thank you!

My plumeria is planted in the ground and reaches the electrical lines. It has started to droop. Could this be from the afternoon showers we get every day in FL?

IMPORTANT QUESTION. My plumerias have been very strange lately. The smaller sprouts have browning and yellowing leaves, and the bigger ones have small grey spots on the leaves. a few leaves have teeth-looking indents in the middle part of the leaf. Info: i use rocks and soil as the potting mix, i live in a dry area, and i don't water them too often. What could be going on?

My plumeria never gives me flower, the leaves are yellow and wrinkled in the summer.
I have a question, what kind of fertilizer do you use for your plumeria.
    Thank you for the info.

Does the watering differ for potted plumeria? I’m having yellowing & very little bloom.

No more rust... I use copper fungicide and spray the underside of the leaves.

This is totally unrelated to the content of your video; the songs/calls of bird life in the background is nothing less than astonishing!! Please tell me where you are located for a frame of reference as that too, will then let your viewers know that most definitely, geographics is integral to how well this “tropical” may or may not thrive where they live. BTW, I live in both NSW, AU, as well as a coastal community in Southern CA - plumerias thrive well in both.

Water them once a week. Use fertilizer for flowers once a month. This plumeria plant very easy to survive in all kind of weather. 🏳️‍🌈
