Remembered using this ‘taslismatic’ strategy playing my first fpl season in 20/21 by getting Zaha vs Man Utd and Grealish vs Liverpool at the opening fixtures, both returned massive hauls for me, and Son + Kane vs Southampton as well

As a Celtic fan, that’s not how ange will set up, the lb is inverted into a second pivot, with the 8s pressing forward and wingers staying wide on the line to isolate 1v1, striker will not get many touches and mainly will press and get on the end of crosses. However defense last year was very good and don’t concede many chances at all, don’t think sours defence will be bad at all
Great video Dan. I have one thing…. I think that the talisman theory stops when you pick defenders. You don’t want to pick the best Luton defender really😅 then the ‘covering different teams’ work as you can get points from teams with good defence. Let me know what you think👇

Rashford is still likely to start as a number 9 for a while (aswell as down the left) as Højlund isnt ready to be the out and out goal scorer yet

Great video Dan, thought the change in system was very interesting and would like to see more content on different teams. Another thing on talismans that sways me are those who might be club captain so guarantee minutes and/or on set pieces, including pens.
The talisman theory is very interesting! Picking the best attacking players from teams rather than saying "i have this team covered"
Is eze a good pick instead of Miitoma and mbumo
If you want a good differential then yes but mitoma is the template pick
With the addition of Mount and likely Højlund, is Bruno Fernandes going to take a more defensive midfielder role like he did at points last season, causing him to have less attacking returns? I'm thinking of switching him to Diaby who is on great pre-season form and upgrade my defense maybe with the left over budget but don't know.

Previously he played alongside Eriksen, who is more attacking than Mount. This is not a real concern imo
In pre season he’s been still playing up as a 10 and mount has been more of an 8 so he should be ok if it stays like it is now
Your the first person I have heard about bruno being an improved option now united have signed a new striker
I reckon that Darwin could be a good option instead of Salah if you want a good attacking Liverpool player. Darwin is also cheaper.

Yes that would be just xGI
@@FPLMate But how do you know if they are getting the lion's share of xGI for their team e.g. expected talisman rather than necessarily actual talisman. Maybe it's not that useful to know but I know you like expected data rather than actual data.

MID: Saka, Martinelli, Bruno, Rashford(Nakamba)
Attack: Jackson, Halland, Nunez. I have 0.5 itb
get a 4.5 defender with a good fixture for the first game and bench chilwell then play chilwell for the rest of the games and then u will have good cover on ur bench
@@bt0002as my very first time playing fpl. Can you explain the reason why need to bench Chilwell in the first game? What is the advantage of doing so?
@@YEAZy12345 well liverpool will be a very difficult opponent and he is unlikely to keep a clean sheet. so having a 4.5m defender like tarkowski to play the first game would be more likely to get clean sheet as everton play fulham. then after gw1 play chilwell the remainder of the fixtures for however long you want to own him for, with tarkowski or another 4.5m on the bench you will have cover in the case of injuries

Good video but one thing, you said spurs didnt score many goals last season, They were the 5th highest scoring team in the whole league, outscoring man utd, newcastle and aston villa who all finished above them lol What let them down was the defence so even though they were instructed to play defensively, they had the 5th worst defensive record for conceded goals.

That Liverpool system isn't really the way they're playing in pre season, probably due to lack of a competent CDM. But there's a very real chance that they dont play the 3-2-2-3
Using your logic about sample sizes and easy opponents, wouldn't that make Sam Johnstone a bad pick? During that 9 game run he only played two top half teams and both were outside the top 7

I know this isn't a team selection video but why aren't you hyped about John stones? You always love all these out of position players😂 John Stones is also the best threat in set pieces, worth the risk?
Not nailed, low bonus potential, and his attacking threat is actually not that high compared to many other defenders

City are not to be trusted, and Arsenal have an incredible defence that lets Forest score at the end of the match to ruin your clean sheet, and Gabriel is a big injured baby.
