This one's not a hurricane warning exactly- it was issued as a Civil Emergency Message due to Hurricane Katrina. Something interesting about this alert: the alert message (as far as I know) was not checked by NOAA before it was sent out. As a result, the sender, Robert Ricks risked his job by issuing this. This hurricane was expected to make landfall in places around Southern Louisiana 48 hours at max from this alert being sent out. This hurricane was also expected to be extremely devastating (I think it was either a Category 4 or 5) and basically make the areas it hit uninhabitable. However, when the hurricane hit, the predictions found in this alert were mostly true (unfortunately). Also something of note: the graphics in this alert are not genuine. I'm near Allentown and I had a possible tornado in my area and luckily none of us were hurt 😢 If I lived in Allentown, i would have the tornado warning that would definitely get me in an underground shelter if it was a tornado emergency. Note: My tornado happened around July or August
