Your goodself knows the difficulties which new comers faces,thinks,and fears with doubts, raised in mind. Your goodself very nicely, with simple method,simple language of course necessary one adopted. we generally get frightened seeing gear diagram,and get clogged in centre straight line drawn on gear handle, how we can find line helpful, if there is,how it will means gear handle will slip through said centre line to change gear shown in straight line form, further grip style shown shows perfect experience of yours which reached to a proper explanation to all of us. It reduced fear in me. Gear change pattern,from 2nd to 3rd change in gears,information regarding spring in gear handle which eases our work and reduces stress,method of pressing clutch and then accelerator paddle is excellent. This will not allow mistake. Everything explained is really of top class with simple words and as per required information,which we get excited to know one after another while seeing video,and narrated accordingly immediately satisfying anxiety,which increases faith that we will learn easily,removing fear which generally errupts in everyone. Total presentation with information,teaching goes to show that your goodself really wants to help new learner.Motto is pure,high and for learner's betterment. My regards to your goodself. I am after other clips of yours to see and learn more. I am sure no other clip can match or challange your attempt and intention. This is really helpful in true sense. Sir, for first and 2nd gear simply one should keep pressed the GEAR KNOB towards his left and for 1st gear he should move it upward (1st) and keeping knob towards left and move down wards for 2nd gear.
My driving school teacher Sukumar sir taught me the same technique for changing each gear. Good instruction to those who follow gear movement as per picture shown on gear.

nice video... but i think from 2nd to 3rd gear..just bring it to the neutral position, leave it for just a second so gear rod by itself comes and stands in front of 3rd gear and then just push it forward and it will be in 3rd gear
Vicky, I am currently learning driving .Mujhe ek cheex clarify karni thi agar suppose hum 5 gear par hain and humhe speed slow karni hain to humhe pehle 4 phir 3 then 2 aise change karna hota hain...jaise 3 gear par car chal rahi hain and ek dun se break lagana padha to direct 1 gear daal sakte hain ya phir pehle 2 karte hain and then 1

I have driven stick shift and I live in North America, the perfect way of driving and changing gears is that it should be seamless, passenger should never feel that break in motion or hear the changing of the gear....its should feel like you were driving Automatic transmission. That's how I drive my stick shift, I have driven in india 99% of drivers in India don't know how to change gears.
