The father of my student bought his son a vintage Mustang for his sixteenth birthday. The dad and his wife opined about all the wonders of this purchase for their son who was failing in all subjects but one. I, however, expressed concerns.
I feel like water in a bag of sparklers but; what could go wrong with brain/computer interfaces. ..with eating meat artificially grown, with altering the human DNA?
What about working on being more loving, wise, generous , just and honest to affect change? The fully-restored blue convertable 1968 Mustang amazed us all and it also served as a coffin during the accident. Let's not race to anything unless we first pack those universal virtues.
Well said. I love blackeyed peas. I could skip the pietr dish meat, yeah thanks.
Right, they are going about this backwards they're jumping into it too soon they need to get the ethics and law and rules put down first because guess who the first people who want access to your brain is-- advertisers, and they want your data they want to create digital versions of you so they can try to know you better than you know yourself no way I don't need something predicting when I'm going to need milk I don't need a smart home I don't need smart appliances I don't need a digital assistant they just better designed Society both ways if they have the technology to develop that stuff they have the technology to develop Society in a way where people who don't want it can still exist just the same that doesn't sound like that crazy of a request, and I'm also pretty sure that certain people or what to change our thoughts through a brain computer interface for their ethical or moral reasons that's not going to happen
With Starlink connecting the world and the possibility of America introducing a universal basic income, we are empowering these young minds on a global scale.
@SingularityUniversity, please use your audio meter before exporting these videos and increase the gain to a standardized level (-6db). It wouldn't hurt to throw a compressor on there if you want to go the extra mile. It's just a hassle to have to turn my volume all the way up to hear these lectures. Thanks
I aint using a brain computer interface and NO ONE OR LAW CAN MAKE ME, unless its medically necessary, why are people wanting to get one? Im not gonna let anyone know my thoughts or change my thinking for any ethical or moral reason. There is NO answer anyone can give to convince me otherwise, go on somebody try to convince me, id love to here reasons why i should. But ill bet by the end i will have convinced you to NOT get one
