This is a poor example. This guy has no reputation within the scene so therefore is being paid what he currently is worth. If he wins this it is without doubt pay will increase for a subsequent fight

This guys a nobody in this scene so it really is a poor example, the guys English and I’ve never heard of him so he can’t have much pull/draw either. Not to mention this will be massive for his brand if he puts in a good performance.

That's good! That's how it should it be. Ultimately you're getting free promotion with misfits. You gotta build that exposure. The way slim did and he ended up making more and more money for himself and made a name for himself. Even salt papi. You shouldn't be paid a lot. Your value should equal the amount of viewers you can bring too

That's not true. Even the lower level ones make 4-5k. They gotta pay their teams too. They don't train for a week or two. They go in everyday

I mean thats not really crazy though, not many people know who he is, its his first ever fight and its and a free prelim of the card, the fact he is making money after doing everything and just the exposure is really good. Plus if he does well its the potential to fight on future cards to make more money on the main card.
This is a bad example because not everyone gets paid the same amount. Salt papi on the other hand gets paid a lot more because he is well known in the CZcams boxing scene.

That's not that bad, sure it's pretty much nothing, but you get exposure and if you actually train for the fight and do well, Misfits always returns the people that deserve it, and you'll be paid a lot more in future fights if you make a name for yourself. All you need is the training and the good attitude and you'll make it in Misfits.

@D Stain This isn't a pro scene lol, this is influencer boxing scene so it works different. Don't compare actual pro boxing scene to influencer boxing. If you want to lead the scene then it takes to win his first fight and build it up. He could of been training for years but that doesn't mean he deserves to be main event first fight or high pay.

u get payed based on what u bring; the amount he brings is quite equivalent to his reputation. this is how a boxing promotion keeps running cuz social gloves broke down due to overpaying and kingpyn may go down the same path

The prelims are set up by happy punch. So the fighters on the prelims are also paid by happy punch not KSI or misfits

He will barely make money or not profit from this fight if he has a proper camp. This is a problem with not only Misfits or Happy Punch but martial arts as a whole. Although it's usually seen in the UFC and MMA more as it's not unionized. Unsurprisingly, some fighters won't make over 15k for 3 fights a year. This is unfortunate but Misfits doesn't even have the funds to pay their fighters much more if they wanted to. This is not a multimillion/billion dollar company that can pay its fighters a median salary of 35k plus.
Real professional fighters get paid at least 2k when they start, for him to be an influencer and getting paid 5k on his FIRST fight, wow

4. Any other boxing promotion would probably pay the same if it's a prelim, so it's not even the undercard.
5. Prelim matches are free to watch.
6. The fighter even lucky to even earn something and being on the misfits event.
