What baffles me is that after being ejected from the arena, Solo comes back out, hits the spike and immediately jumps back in the ring once Roman wins IN FRONT of the same referee that ejected him in the first place. I get refs in wrestling are historically stupid but my god that was bad
That's the part that got me I was expecting Hunter or some type of general manager figure to come out and restart the match especially after they SHOWED THE REPLY clear as day but WWE refs are stupid in storyline
This whole match made me so disappointed I would've started following again I watched night 1 and was like damn this is one of the best shows I've seen in years maybe in a decade since u know the Daniel Bryan stuff but officiating in all wrestling is like so annoying

This was a massively huge, missed opportunity. Why kill Rhodes' momentum? Had he won, the match would've been considered one of the best main events of all time. Now, it's just yet another same finish of any other Reigns main event. Such an awful finish.

I don't think you're wrong, but once they started touting about Roman close to a thousand days.....I knew he was going to win. They want to get Roman to at least a thousand days and then he'll probably drop the title to Cody. The only thing is, will anyone care at that point? And after Raw last night, I'm nearly done with Cody. That Brock segment was just bad imo.
I was at Night 2 and the atmosphere for the main event was electric. Majority of the crowd (including myself) wanted Cody to win and as the match went on it felt like it was actually going to happen you could feel the energy from the crowd we where just waiting for it. When he lost, all that energy just turned into pure disappointment and silence
The same ref who threw out Solo for hearing him whip Cody with the belt thought nothing of Solo being right there when Roman got the pin. He didn't think "Wait. I just threw this guy out"

Snoop doing the people's elbow was already part of the plan. After Shane beats the Miz, Shane was going to point at snoop to do the honors of finishing the Miz. But, since Shane got hurt, they jumped to the final part of the segment with Snoop's elbow without Shane's assistance.

When Solo came back out, they should of had Rollins come out and stop Solo from interfering. Then you get a Roman/Seth feud. Then Cody could of defended his championships against a lot of people he hasn’t faced yet.

Night 2 smelled too much like Vince. They went too safe with the title match results, Bobby Lashley deserved better, LA Knight answering Lashley’s challenge was a layup of an opportunity that went wasted. Another useless Miz/Snoop segment…yeah night 2 definitely smelled too much like Vince

Those segments/matches with The Miz, Pat MacAFee and Snopp Dogg and Bobby Lashley not getting a match reminds me of when Daniel Bryan and Sheamus got bumped off the WrestleMania 27 card because WWE felt it was more important to give over 30 minutes of TV time to Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole.

I’m not even sure if I wanna watch wrestling next week. ROH teased Mark Briscoe winning the TV title to honor of his brother and he lost. They then teased Eddie Kingston winning the ROH title & capping a 15 year feud that started in Chickara and Eddie lost. Tonight WWE teases Cody Rhodes trying to win a title his family never won and he lost. There was some good this weekend but I feel there is no reason to watch a RAW tomorrow night or HonorClub on Thursday. I’m not even sure if I would watch Dynamite this week either. That is how depressed I am right now.
Should he really be given the title because of the accident that happened to jay.

First night was fantastic - an all time Wrestlemania classic.
But tonight was just awful in every way.
You just knew WWE would not be able to resist that 1000 day mark.
So it was predictable in a lot of ways….

It feels like the fans were tricked and duped here.
At this point we are all just watching reruns of unbeatable Roman.
The outcome I was disappointed in the most was Asuka losing. I think she needed it more than anyone on the card tonight.
And you knew it was gonna be a disaster of a segment when Shane was huffing and puffing so bad in the ring, he was struggling to get a word out when he grabbed a mic. Just like the demon, Shane needs to stay gone and be gone.
I completely agree. I think cody will bounce back. He just needs to find people who can deal with heyman and solo(Orton? Edge? Maybe Jey? Idk) and he will win. I’m interested. But I’m done with belair’s reign and Asuka is much more interesting as a character. Bianca is kinda vanilla atm. Gunther is a star now though and I think him winning was the right move. Sheamus isn’t as interesting a defending champion. Very excited for when he gets to the world title.

Seems like records are more important for this company than actual storytelling. Only one that got it right was the Tag Title match which ended with two best friends finishing off a historic tag team title run.

Ultimate revenge for the murder of NXT. In all seriousness they had two perfect stories that would have equally been satisfying conclusions to this amazing reign that could've created the most difficult thing to create in a bonafide over top face. That doesn't come around often and I just don't see who ends this in a more satisfying manner now. This has a very Naito vibe where the time and story were already perfect and they just didn't pull the trigger and when they eventually did it just wasn't as special.

Yeah you do, keeps it unpredictable and makes a heel move even more of a heel move. If wrestling were actually competitive, Wrestlemania would often end with screwy finishes.
Let's face it. No wrestler wanted to lose to Lashley at Wrestlemania, hence his win in the ATG match.
Edge has no business going over Balor, isn't the guy retiring soon? And Seamus should have gotten his moment.
Sheamus got his moment already at WM 28 when he beat Daniel Bryan in 8 seconds to win the World Title.
Night 1 was better than night 2. It seemed as HHH was booking night 1, while Vince McMahon was booking night 2. Night 2 had made a bunch of bad booking decisions. They done Asuka dirty for the 3rd time at WM. They made her dominant with her new heel gimmick, then they had Super Bel-Air beat her. This will get Bel-Air more hated. She's like the female John Cena. Omos vs Lesnar match was the worst WM opener. Typical Brock Lesnar match. Balor is a big joke. He's the leader of Judgement Day, and yet he's booked as a loser. The guy lost so many matches. He even lost the match as the Demon King. Balor sucks! Edge buried him. The boys in Judgement Day are losers. Worst of all, another impromptu match with the Miz was a total waste of time. It was not needed again. They could've given that extra minutes to Omos vs Lesnar match, or the Gunther vs Sheamus vs McIntyre match. Seriously Shane McMahon?! That was the most embarrassing pathetic return ever. Instead of Shane, they could've gone with Lashley or LA Knight come out to challenge the Miz. Yes, WWE screwed up Bobby Lashley, and LA Knight. No title change hand on night 2. I'm guessing Vince McMahon made the call to have Roman retain his title. WWE dropped the ball with Asuka, Lashley, and Cody.

Best explanation I can come up with is that they really want to milk the story of the Bloodline collapsing. Maybe the Usos catch a beating after they fail to recapture the tag titles. Then Reigns pushes Sikoa too far, causing him to bail. And finally Heyman jumps ship, leaving Reigns alone to lose the titles at Summerslam
That's exactly what is going to happen. I'm glad someone else actually sees it.
I completely disagree with you on that Vince didn’t have a single call on that ending. Think about this for a second, the time Bray Wyatt left, he had creative issues. Who was creative at the time? Vince. Bray Wyatt misses WrestleMania “because he’s ill”. Think about Braun Strowman just for a second. He went from having solo matches to being paired into a tag team that just doesn’t match its energy. You can’t tell me for one second Vince didn’t have a word on any of those. Prior to them leaving there were many reports that’s there were creative difference when they were originally released. I don’t see Cody recovering from this. All that momentum as you said for nothing.
You know, Gunther winning was probably a good indicator that Roman was going to win. Otherwise what would Gunther be doing after losing.
Cody lost to an entire faction that might have only one gym membership combined.
In typical WWE fashion, when they finally move the belt off Roman it will be booked terribly.

I'm a big fan of Roman Reigns and the Tribal Chief gimmick as well as the Bloodline. I even popped when Roman won..and then I realized that was the wrong call. Cody should have won
I don't know maybe the Bloodline has to be broken up, before Roman will lose. Basically the family is why he is champion. Losing the tag belts may start the demise.

After what they did in the Finn Balor Edge match, I don't ever want to see another Hell in a Cell match, cage match, hardcore match, etc in WWE. Why do these type of matches?? The risk of bleeding or injuries is high and you're just going to stop the match and don't show it. This is absolutely pointless.

When I heard that Cody lost, it took the wind out of my sails. I hated the thought of more Roman Reigns. But after watching it, I thought it was a great match. Not the best win, but I didn’t hate it as much as Solomonster.

WWE had the ball at the 1 yard line and they fumbled it. Who's supposed to beat Roman now? A cooled off Cody? A lifelong tag team specialist in Jey? A retread in Seth? The ultimate retread in Brock? A "too much too soon" situation in Bron? A disaster waiting to happen in Bray? I honestly have no clue. But none of these seem like better options than Cody tonight. Tonight was their chance to crown a deserving and over new champion and they blew it. And they blew it with overbooked TNA crap too. HHH (or Vince or both) better rebound with some great stuff after this debacle.

No offense to Cody but what did he do to deserve the win at the rumble, beat Seth and that's it. This reminds me of the situation w/ Goldberg/HHH Feud in 2003.
They should of gave Goldberg a Dominant win at the Elimination Chamber at Summerslam 2003.
Instead, they gave Triple H a Cheap win after a Sledgehammer shot 2 Goldberg (Mind U, He got his ass kicked when he entered the chamber & After 1 shot 2 Goldberg, he won)
They finally put the belt on Goldberg the next month at Unforgiven, but it was 2 late. It wasn't the same.

I have no ill will towards Cody Rhodes. And I said I would have had Roman win. Losing only helps the Cody Story. They made sure to get that shot of him looking in disbelief as Roman celebrated behind him for a reason.

WE have no stars right now I will be watching an old roll on the network the other day and the announcer was saying that triple H was out, stone cold was out, however and ended up being a good show still because even though stars were out they still had Hbk, the rock, Kurt angle, etc

WWE always gives Night 1 the better overall card in order to compensate for Night 2 having THE "real" main event. It's a pretty logical give-and-take

Now we'll see Cody going the gauntlet, he has to fight The Usos, Sikoa again, and finally getting to Reigns to bring the Titles home. This is STORYTELLING.
Was overcoming the Stardust stuff, forging his own path by leaving for six years before returning to fulfil his destiny, overcoming the pec injury, coming back at the Rumble and winning the title that alluded his family not already a fantastic story though? I just don't see what another year of 'hard times' does when he's been through enough already.
With the constant state of flux WWE is in (especially with a takeover and Vince's inevitable return on the horizon) there is no guarantee Cody will even face him next year and we get a conclusion to this. Plus you've got to know for 40 they want Roman vs Rock. Maybe it turns out to be amazing, who knows? But I feel like not pulling on the trigger on Cody here after using Drew and Sami for heat is just one too many times a face gets beaten in the perfect moment.

Cody has only been in Combat with one of Roman's henchmen, Solo, who is lowest on that totem pole. Zayn got beaten down by every member, to get to Roman, and still wasn't allowed to win the big one, and you expect me to believe Cody deserves the honor. Not a chance in Hell (in a Cell). Time to really put Cody through the test. WrestleMania is sure the biggest place to win, but just not the right time. Not yet!

Night 2 had the most status quo booking of all time. All champs won. Brock won. Ronda won. Part time Edge won. I mean how does a company just go status quo at WrestleMania for the entire second night.
My takeaways from both nights
1) Asuka should've went over. Bianca has beaten everyone in the roster at least askua would've been a fresh champion with new challengers. Bianca to me needs a heel turn
2) Why the fcuk would you have balor be the demon and LOSE?! edge doesn't need a rub, balor should've gone over so should have....
3) Dominick. He should've won as well. By losing what does that do for him? Rey doesn't lose anything by taking the pin. At least you could've had bunny hit Dom with the chain and Rey pin him so he can have a reason to gripe. What now? (Loved his ring entrance with the DOC)

If Cody won it would be talked about for years as one of the best endings to a WrestleMania, but instead we got Solo interfering and Roman retaining again. It's the same ending every time with Roman and it's getting old. Nothing special about this years main event and won't be talking about it like Rock/Hogan, Andre/Hogan, Shawn/Taker or Austin/Bret. WWE wants Roman to hit 1000 days but it's nothing special if all they are going to do is have Solo interfere in every damn match. Change it up already.

Edit: just saw Balor's wound, I totally understand the stoppage, and it's a miracle that Balor went on to finish the match. All things considered, it makes sense for someone with a head wound like that to lose the match
Also, just learned about the sad passing of the mother of the young girl in Bianca's entrance. It's right to have her hero win on the big stage, if only to bring her a moment of joy amidst this sad tragedy.
Everyone that is upset that Cody didn't win doesn't know anything about wrestling. Why should Cody be champ? He has 2 matches within the calendar year. 😂 He challenged for the title only once in his career and he was supposed to win against a guy who has been on a run since 2020. On the one side, I am happy with Roman retaining the titles because we still have to see the repercussions of the usos losing the titles. Roman has to be completely alone, no Paul, no usos no solo for his lose to be credible
On the other hand, I was happy with that ending AS LONG AS we had the rock here and Cody wins at backlash which did not happen.
Look, there's no denying that Night 2 of WrestleMania ended on a sad, depressing note. Not simply because Cody lost but the manner they'd planned. For how is it in any way, shape or form, distinguishable from the countless other endings of a Roman Reign's Title Defense? Roman's quickly drawing "Honky Tonk Man Heat" in that he relies on underhanded tactics or outside interference to come out on top. Think about it: Over 900 days of the exact same formula and now WWE Creative has the gall to suggest breaking the 1000 day record with it? Why even bother investing in build-up in the first place if that's the culmination they're going for? Triple H needs to understand that there's a time for extending a storyline and a time to end it and, in my opinion, The Bloodline should've concluded at Wrestlemania with Cody as the victor. But whatever, got to have that 1000 day record as "Best for Business".
The Bloodline vs Rhodes/Zayn/Owens at backlash will be the move. Bloodline loss which gets the wheels rolling on a Jey turn and Roman loss. I think Roman won't go past SSlam with those belts.
I'm hoping that this is gonna be a bigger story with Cody. I agree with bully and mark that it could be a case where they want to have Cody struggle before he wins the belts. I mean he hasnt struggled storyline wise since he came back. He won the rumble after entering at 30, he was undefeated until the mania match, he beat Rollins 3 straight times. Very similar to the hard times his father had to go through on his journey to be champion.
I do agree that they missed a moment, a big moment that night and it was the wrong choice. I'm just hoping the story and build from here makes it close to as good when he does win.
