- An unboxing and initial look at the new Element Enduro V2 builder’s kit. They have upgraded many parts from the previous version and this is my first look an initial impression of the kit contents and the instructions. I still have very serious old man concerns about the instructions! I will follow this soon with a full build video and my thoughts on the build so subscribe so you don’t miss it!
Lol I'm an old dude too! I keep a magnifying glass handy at all times! Thanks for the vid! I've just ordered up my v2 enduro kit!
If you built the first one then this one is almost identical except for a few steps and changes. You should be able to go through it pretty easily. I think the truck itself seems rather decent, just got very frustrated with the quality of the instructions. You'll have a blast with it once it is done. If you want a rear bumper on the truck you may want to get the old bumper mount set for it, I still have no idea what type of rear bumper the mount is for in the V2 kit.
Just putting out an FYI... if you are thinking about ordering this kit, you may want to hold off a couple days until I can finish a build video.... there are some issues I have run into that make a big difference in your decision.
ordered it from the States last night...i will watch with interest...
There are a few things in the instructions that are not clear and there are a few others things about the build so far that are.... "interesting". I hope I can get the video out before you start building to try and help you out. I am hoping by Saturday I can get it all wrapped up and uploaded.
Just found your channel and liked and subscribed.
Back at ya, thanks for stopping by and subscribing!
Good job dude. Thanks for the video!
Are the transmission gears metal or plastic and does it have overdrive like version 1 has? Thanks!
The large internal ones are now plastic ones. And it still retains the overdrive gears.
@@AddamsPlayground hmmm is it advantageous to have plastic gears? I just built a v1 like last week and I'm Def loving the element quality.
@@ghoulishgetups5815 It will make it quieter for sure. I seriously doubt you will strip one unless it just wears out from age or neglect. I am pretty sure something else in the driveline will pop before you loose one of those gears. Just not sure why they went to them over the metal ones. It may have been to quiet it down, I'm not sure, but it seems like a downgrade in most peoples minds. Thanks for watching!
Hey man! Interested in this kit, gonna watch your videos, curious to see what’s happening!
I actually built these for the Operation 11 Charlie charity to donate to them. I was very impressed with the truck itself, instructions not so much but the truck is great. I do know the recipients of the trucks drove them hard right away and had no issues at all. I do want to get one for myself and enjoy the drive. This time around I got to enjoy the build and seeing get into the hands of others. Thanks for watching!!
I built the first Gen Enduro builders kit a couple months after the TRX4 Sport kit. I agree with the manual assessment. Heck the Element book shows the link pictures and they are barely not to scale (enough to cause a lot of confusion). I bought a caliper to get them right though
Yeah, funny enough I am working on links right now and my calipers are not long enough for the steering cross link... Had to eyeball it!!!!
@@AddamsPlayground oh dear.
@@AddamsPlayground I also noticed they unfortunately quietly and deceptively changed the nice all metal gears out to plastic
@@jonthomas8487 yeah, I noticed that as well. I think overall the upgrades to the other things are cool though. I hope to get the review recorded tonight and hope to get it edited and uploaded for Saturday. Thanks for stopping by!
@@jonthomas8487 We don't have any issue with them in racing. Should be good for this!
I'm also getting older but I refuse to wear glasses
Oh I had to give into that one. After a little while you get used to them. I didn't want to at first but after a month of wearing them I could not imagine not wearing them!!!
I'm watch from Malaysia
Wow! That is awesome, thanks for checking out my video!
Hi, Sorry i'm a french, i want to buy this kit and i would like to have a resume if it 's a good kit or not? Thanks for your help.
The truck is a a very good truck and you'll be very happy with the performance. The instructions are the only bad part. Once built you should be happy with the truck and it is good right away and there are.tona of things you can get or do to make it a very competitive little truck. For the price you really can't beat it. Just take your time building and reviewing the instructions and figuring out what to do.
@@AddamsPlayground thanks for your help. Which engine and variator do you recommand?
@@predator50260 I used a Hobbywing 1080 ESC and a Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster Sport 12t in mine. If you go brushless then something in the 1800-2200kv range.... I like the brushed route as it is cheaper and if something goes wrong much cheaper to replace. Brushless can be better but I am not but so familiar with those setups.
Plastic transmission gears in the kit version come on associated! Lame!
Right?
