I've been speaking very highly of Tom Ahern all season. He has the makings of a great player. Has even buffed up since his first season at Munster and is ridiculously fast for his size. Similar to Peter o Mahony aswell that he loves to get stuck into any scrap that occurs during a game. I'd be surprised if we don't see him get any Irish caps once Peter retires.
@@ConorOLeary-rl4bs if Tadhg Beirne or Joe McCarthy are injured, sure but I imagine James Ryan would have something to say about it. Personally prefer Ahern at 6 but he's certainly a good (tall) option for lock.

Good call on Ahern. Would you play him as a lock. He would be the tallest lock we have in the national side

JVG was a terrible coach, really held back the players. So bereft of attacking ideas and flair even tough he had the players.
