- Commercial aired in Australia for the sporty Nissan 200SX coupe (also known as the 240SX in the USA and the S14 Silvia in Japan). First aired October 1996 (also re-aired in 1998). Features Greek-Australian actor Arthur Angel. It was called the 200SX in Australia due to having a 197-hp 2.0L turbocharged engine, unlike the American model which had a 115-hp 2.4L naturally aspirated engine.

i remember seeing this ad many times in the afternoons after school , was the best 30 - 40 seconds of my day! tried to force my old man to trade his hsv senator for one of the first series 200sx 1994 (zenki) but it never happened. 16 years after this ad was first aired in 2012 i finally bought a 1995 series one 200sx (zenki) Luxury Spec and plan to keep it forever! Thanks for sharing these 90's ad's great memories!
I love the way they go just wait ‘til you drive it
@@gipad3565 my old man was driving an accord when the series ones came out in 1994.i was so close to talking him into replacing that with the upcoming in 1996 el falcon xr6 but before we knew that was weeks away he signed up for one of these.i had to drive it on p plates for a while.the days i got my full license is around the time i went car shopping but ended up with a mazda of all things.it broke a tradition that started from my aunts 120y and 260z coupes, brothers pulsar 92 model and the old mans 200sx of nissan and datsuns.i turned up with one of these to test drive a 99 pulsar plus and under different circumstances would have bought it.
Do you still have it?
@@marshallsoftley8953 yeah 14 years this month.
Does anyone have a copy of the other 2 ads they made in this series? The kid in the old Nissan on the farm and the girl and boy in the billy cart?
That's my dream S14.
make car ads like this again
This ad brings back memories
Way before it's time 👏🏾
Beautiful car with a magical chassis .
we had one of these in our home.i tried to convince my old man not to buy one as he was always talking about getting a falcon and the el series xr6 was only weeks away but it was too late, the order was signed much to my dismay and within weeks the honda accord we had at the time was traded for one of these.
S14海外では人気ですね!
Ah the S14, my future car
NISSAN SILVIA K’s AERO(S14後期) ?
we had one of these in our home.i was discussing with my father some 21 years ago between this or a falcon xr6 as there was a new model of those on the way which one should we get as a sports car.i wanted the falcon although we kids were all grown up and old enough to drive on our own although I was yet to even possess a license at the time,he went for the 200sx instead.i did my initial training on l plates on that then went to driving lessons done professionally and the rest speaks for itself.
Series 2s drove better sales.
Hi Joel, did you selling nissans in the 90s?
this was the fourth nissan to join our household.it all started with moms sisters 120y and 260z coupes in the seventies then came my brothers 92 pulsar.i had mazdas before joining the gang with my 2006 tiida and 2010 micra.i defected elsewhere after that.
silvia badge sounds better than "200sx"
Why its called 200sx instead of s14
S14 is the model code, not the name. The name was Silvia in Japan, 240SX in the US, and 200SX elsewhere.
@@Davez621 we Australians didn't see the model that filled the gap after the Gazelle was phased out and this one. They had the EXA,NX coupe and Pulsar sss fill the gaps below the 300zx at one time.
‘fully imported’ no ball bearing turbo. Didnt even keep the name
Ball bearing turbo would have been perfect , but at least you can run the journal turbo upto 18psi from 7psi standard good for 200 KW at the wheels with turbo back exhaust & ecu.
