Last place I skied. Stayed in the hotel featured at 7:27. Made the mistake of ice skating on the rink next door, with skates that should have been in the bin. The skate was flat and the front rake which was at the end of the blade, dug in and tipped me over to smash my lip and needed a couple of stitches at the medical center you showed at the beginning. Glad that the snow has arrived for them, better late than never.

Ted, As I'm now retired [66 yo] - last Christmas - and am single, and a free agent, all-being-well I'm planning to try skiing again next season as a mature beginner.
I've never skied in Europe, and have only ever skied in Scotland on long weekends with the Warrington Ski Club, and never got past the nursery slopes/green runs. And the last time was 35 years ago. The Ski Club of GB, have something called 'Peak Experience' specifically tailored for people of my generation i.e. 55+ old who are taking up skiing. Apparently we are the biggest demographic taking up skiing.
No idea where they'll have the holidays, as their brochure/catalogue doesn't come out till July. But les 2 Alpes *might* be one of the resorts SCGB PE goes to. 🤷‍♂
Anyway, as I have skied before all-be-it briefly, I did have my own boots back then, and they have long since gone/sold, and I will be purchasing and fitted out with new boots here in Britain i.e. Ellis Bingham in Manchester or Liverpool or Chester when I know where I'll be going. All the rest I intend to rent for my first season, as if nothing goes bad I'm hoping to have 3 holidays to get proper into it before I buy. *SO*, as you are used to this place, is it worth while to rent the outfit and helmet etc there OR back here in the UK from a site like 'Ski Togs'?

Just so you'll know as an update from below I contacted the tourist office there, and none of the the ski shops in the village rent out ski clothes, so if I go there I'll rent from ski togs here in Britain, or if I go to Courchevel instead, I'll use a French company called ski chic. Peace.
