HEY YOU ABOUT TO POST SOMETHING STUPID:
Yes, I know my hands are large/fat. It's because of a heart condition I suffer from called Congestive Heart Failure. Here's a link to some information about CHF: cle.clinic/2TdS2Ux
One of the symptoms is that it causes fluid retention, mostly in the hands, feet/ankles, and face..

I'm glad these are available now. Last time I looked I couldn't get a price on one. I may order mine not this upcoming payday but the following one I'll be set. Thanks for showing its features Paul.

This is a fantastic scope. 🐬 If it was a 12 bit oscilloscope, I would get one. My old 8 bit scope is similar to this one. 😎 Great video and thank you.

I wonder if this DSO is a good buy.
I mean, brands like Rigol and Siglent now switch to 12 bit DSO's for a very similar price.
Also, with Siglent, If you have a Siglent function generator, you can do bode plots (and even pretty old function generators from Siglent can be hooked up). I think Uni-T missed the boat with this, as they also started to produce signal generators a few years ago, but didn't implement this fantastic feature.
Also bus decoding is not that elaborate on this DSO I think.
I would have liked to be shown more advanced functionality of where this DSO might have different functions (in a positive way) compared to what the new Siglent SDS8x4X range has to offer (or the old 8bit SDS1x04x-e range, to which I think this model targets its market) and the new Rigol DHO8X4 and DHO9x4 has to offer.
I think what you show here in the video...pretty much every DSO can do.

Wow, 1 Ohm input impedance... I'm sure you meant 1 Megohm. ;-) You'd have to have a beefy 50 Ohm internal termination to play it safe. Better off using a 50 Ohm BNC pass-thru terminator when needed. Seems like a nice scope. Cheers!

Is the rise time on this uni-t decent???

    • @bigdog9480
      @bigdog9480 Před měsícem +1

@@gregandark8571 the rise time is ≤1.8ns, but what I can't find is the sensitivity, I searched Uni-t website and I couldn't find anything, I'm lost between the uni-t UPO1202CS and the Rigol DHO812, the Rigol vertical sensitivity range is 500 μV/div to 10 V/div but I can't find the Uni-t one to make a comparison. I'm completely lost and can't decide.

Always enjoy your videos. Did you ever do a part two relating to your signal path part one video done three years ago?? Part one was remarkable and maybe part two is also remarkable but I can't find it.😢😢😢

That Uni T firm seems to do some high spec test equipment for a fraction of what you can pay for the same spec elsewhere. I think the click buttons instead of a touch screen is probably better in practice. You don't want dirty fingers all over a screen and you get tactile feedback with click buttons. Regarding the fan, just a thought, could it be that the fan switches off once it has cooled down?

It's an oscilloscope and a portable Disco lighting system!
Perhaps the fan is on all the time because power is running through the scope even when turned off (sleep mode)?
Oh, you will find a need for the four channels. Enjoy.
    ☮ brother.

Roll mode is entered by setting the horizontal scale of the oscilloscope is lower than 20 ms/div

Weird. You showed how you can add user defined measurements to the bottom of the screen, and you picked AC RMS. Then, you turned on the DVM function, which shows AC RMS in the top left corner. The two showed different numbers, though, I think 3.35V and 3.259V respectively?

Me thinks the fan thing is happening because the device is not "fully" off. Yes, the screen goes blank etc, but something is still happening under the hood. I'm assuming the fan will stop eventually. 🤔🤔
