‘Teer’, the hindi word means an arrow in English. The traditional game of archery is all about hitting the bullseye. But in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya in India, ‘Teer’ is the name of a betting game that’s played every day.
The rules are quite simple. One has to predict the last two digits of the total number of arrows that hit the target. The numbers on which people put their bets on are mostly decided by the dreams they see.

What has bin said regarding the result of the competition is wrong. It is a complicated process. Yes, the arrows which get hit and struck in the target are counted but that number, as such is not the result. As said earlier it is complicated process.

Don't get this wrong..not everyone in Meghalaya take part in teer..it is considered taboo for most of the people to bet in teer..it still exists mainly because of the tax that government earn from it and to a small extent for preserving the archery culture that has existed from previous generations..

There is 1 to 100 number u have to choose a number from it If ur no and the result of teer is same then u will be paid on the basis of what amount u pay for this number example u bought a no 13 with 10 rs and the result of teer is also 13 then u will be paid on on the base of 10 rupee if u increase money the reward will be greater .hope u will understand a little bit
