    I should also say that this is a really good review and interview with an insider at Honda. No BS, no over-hyped, over-loud in-your-face approach. A serious review of a serious machine. Keep it up Steven and co, keep'em coming!

It was a great ride, great event, and I'm glad they got you to do your very own exclusive ride to test out these great Honda crew machines! Take care bud, and keep up the great work! Kapper

    I have a 2016 1000-5. Would my Walker Evans shocks, wheels & tires, Windshield, front and rear Mud Buster fender extenders, front bumper/winch, etc., fit on this new model? I have my machine about how I like it, so rather than buying more after market accessories, I would want to reuse them from my old Pioneer.

    • @tkpowersports
      @tkpowersports  Před rokem +1

      We reached out to Honda to find an answer for you. Sounds like some will fit and other won't.
      Here's what they said:
      "The bolt pattern for the wheels is the same from previous years so they should fit.
      The Front bumper mounts the same so it should bolt up.
      The new bodywork could impede those aftermarket shocks. Not totally sure.
      The winch probably wouldn't work as the wiring has changed for this new model. "
      Hope that helps!

      Or your in a puddle and losing momentum, pop the button and keep it going. Having to stop and then engage means you've lost any momentum, which 2 things matter most, momentum and ground clearance.

    Montana is beautiful. No doubt Honda makes good reliable products but the Pioneer is getting long in the tooth and is in need of some refinements. I had a 2015 Pioneer 700. Seating position was not very comfortable and the seats are not adjustable, and this carries over to the 1000. Foot cramps in relation to the gas peddle position were an issue. However, I love that dual clutch transmission. I looked at getting the 1000P2 but ended up with a Yamaha Wolverine 850 X2 instead. One thing I won't like about the Yamaha is the CVT maintenance which may have me wishing for my old Pioneer.

    I will never get another Honda after my last Pioneer. It was literally the biggest piece of crap. The shock blew out two weeks after buying it. Had 2 recalls for the steering. Then the fuel pump went out 20 mi from civilization and had to be towed out. Got rid of it only being a year old with 600 mi and 80 hours. Got a Kawasaki and haven't had a problem since
