I understand both sides if the situation but i cant figure out why there are games in a relationship. I am a straight shooter and sometimes I am wrong. Well, I can say without reservation that this is the sweetest movie I've ever seen. Mr. Goode's voice, when he said "She paid me," was so soft and dignified in comparison to the rather loud and brash voice of her fiance. I'm sure it was deliberate on the part of the director, and it worked for me. My God, how could she walk away from him. I loved the chemistry between them in the castle when he finished its story, the garden and cooking, his comments about a father. Sweet, sweet portrayal.
In my opinion, that’s what makes it one of the best movies. The chemistry was there and they are both excellent actors who draw you into the characters they are portraying.

About their chances of staying together: they both want so much to be with someone and to be committed, and they each know that about the other. Lots of couples get married without nearly that degree of conviction, so it seems like they would have just as good a chance of staying together as other couples--maybe more , because they've been completely honest with each other all along..
@Miz J I firmly believe that doing otherwise would mean DISASTER! and, in that scenario, it would've been worse if children were involved! As for them staying together, I'd say more.

This film made me LOVE Matthew Goode. I wish he'd do more rom-coms. I know he doesn't want to do them, and many aren't made anymore, but damn, he's fine!
