      Thanks Mark! Most of these cars have the same four or five things that go wrong. Usually to do with the ABC system or the coil pack/ignition...maybe I can help some folks get these wonderful cars back to their full potential!!

      It's a rare occurrence! I'm sure I'll pay for it later with something buried deep in the car that can't be fixed without a donor car :-)

    Hey! I really like your videos! I recently purchased an 04 S600, car seemed perfect but now it’s problems are showing. Went to a shop and they said that cylinder #5 is misfiring. There are no check engine lights and the car is running fine, what could cause this ? The seller said he replaced both coil packs, but he could be lying. Also the car since last week has had its battery drown twice, a new battery has been purchased, the SRS light is on, could this be causing it? Also my ABC is sagging on on the rear right when it parks but then raises when the button is pressed, probably the valve block ? Please hellllp!!!

    What would your thoughts be to keeping the cover / plastic finisher off the coil packs to allow heat to escape on the V12? They must do nothing but trap heat.

    • @cassidycarcave2781
      @cassidycarcave2781  Před 3 lety

      Hey Mark thanks for watching and commenting! I think you're on the right track but I wonder if the gains in heat management would be offset by allowing dirt and moisture into that coil pack area. I think the main fault on the coil packs tends to be corrosion. I remember the one I took apart from my CL 600 just about fell apart in my hands from the wires being so corroded... Hope you have better luck than I did!

    Hi after tuning my ecu, mt car showed P20D4 and P0221 codes, it was super fast, but sometimes the engine surge and cut the power, engine check light does NOT showed, but i can feel the power has been restricted, any suggestion where can i check for? Transmission? throttle body? Many Many Thanks

      After this happens does the car reset itself after you turn it off take out the key and turn it back on? I've had a similar problem with several Mercedes and it turns out to be the electronic gas pedal is bad. Usually happens when I push it to the floor. After that the car kind of goes in the limp mode but is fine after I turn the car off and turn it back on. I'd start there!

    P1531 it's sinks on the right side. I've had this issue for a year and a half. Frequency is odd. I could have this half the time on a week, it disappear for two weeks and then I can't have it at all for 2 months. My mechanic swears it's a strut issue, I'm beginning to think it's a o ring issue,, but then again I just thought that I have a battery tender on there during the winter and it's very very seldom goes bad in the winter. What do you think it is

    • @cassidycarcave2781
      @cassidycarcave2781  Před 3 lety

      Oh yes Mercedes ABC issues...the big trouble spots of these cars. That code I think is more of an air conditioning code. See if you can get an independent job with Mercedes Star diagnostics to run codes. Mercedes' have volumes of codes that aren't available to regular scan tools. If I'm guessing I'd say your ABC fluid needs flushed or you've got a valve block that is going out...Thanks for watching!

      The map sensor and the voltage transformer both came from Mercedes dealer parts. Unfortunately that was the only place I could find them. Expensive but good service and has a warranty. Thanks for watching!

      @@cassidycarcave2781 Just wanted to point out that FCPEuro has some of these expensive parts, like the ignition coil packs and voltage transformer and they are genuine Mercedes. For anyone who needs parts and thinks they'll keep the car for a long period of time, this is a really good source with their lifetime warranty on everything.

    • @cassidycarcave2781
      @cassidycarcave2781  Před 3 lety +2

      I think p2023 would have something to do with the intake manifold pressure. Check and see if that MAP sensor that I replaced is bad on your car. It's a common failure on these v12s...the plastic connection at the sensor brakes and the vacuum hose that runs to the intake manifold becomes disconnected... If you replace the map sensor make sure the vacuum hose isn't clogged with pieces of the old sensor... Hope this helps thanks for joining in my channel!
