Yes, this is REAL drag racing just like back in the days. Today the engines are far too powerful producing more energy than really needed, too Goddamned loud and just how fast do they want to do the 1/4 mile. Because as long as you have a human behind the wheel there's only so fast you can go and they reached that speed a long time ago. Also the cars today don't even look like the road production cars they're racing and they're so squared off body's and downright ugly! Dragster are too long and the engines wouldn't fit in your garage! The sport is NOT what it used to be!

@@vincentlussier8264 1000 feet too and the cost ! Instead of searching junk yards & backyards
you must run the same 500 cu in engines made especially for drag racing

The best Fury was the Plymouth 1964 Fury 383 hi-po 4 speed on the floor. A beautiful car. Back in the 50s 60s and 70s moat of the drag racing were done by guys from average Americans building their rods in their own garages.
Things just got way too expensive now. The rich man controls all this now. What a shame!!

I miss racing at Desoto memorial speedway in Bradenton during the 70"s. This type of racing was prevalent at the time as well as the bracket classes in which I ran in. A good friend of mine raced a 69 camaro in M/P

Does a light come on at the end of the strip to show who won? Times don't mean a thing if we don't know who won. After all its a race.

Roger Lindamood had the Color Me Gone. Dick Landy had the big cigar, if I remember.
