Starring Shaun Scott (Marvel's Moonknight) and Lukwesa Mwamba (Carnival Row), Maggie is an intelligent social horror about a reclusive old widower living in a state of decay. Upon seeing his poor living conditions, a young NHS health worker attempts to remove him from his home and into private care. However, when strange things start happening around the house, she discovers that maybe the lonely old man isn’t completely alone after all and her life may be in grave danger.

More than scared, i was feeling sad for the old man that he was bound to stay in that condition just for her sake. He could not leave even if he wanted to.
Why sad for a murderer? The mf old man was responsibile for death of many care taker (as it has been implied ) in last scene, he has no compunction for his deeds, he is a monster like his dead psychopathic wife, both are to be equally blamed, he could sacrifice his own life an save innocent girls who came for him, both will go to hell
Sadly, this is a spot on, accurate, depiction of a lot of the home bound elderly are living. I quit home healthcare and went into the military because of houses just like this. The elderly were neglected and/ or in dire poverty stricken, vermin infested dwellings. Most cases were either heartbreaking, horrendous or both. That work absolutely broke my spirit...

We knew from the beginning that there was to be a terrible end to a super cute and nice girl. The rotten squalor that the elder man lives in…reality for many seniors worldwide. Everything about this clip was very well done, including the acting. Thank you.

This is a fantastic take on the ghost story genre. It was effective. You genuinely feel for the old man and the case worker.
The apartment set fit the situation and was accurate on what elder neglect could look. Props to make-up as that legvwas gnarly.
The story take was the strong point and the two leads nailed it. The whole vibe was effective.
Great job to James Kennedy and all involved. You felt the shot of that chair.

Great movie short, I became concerned for both characters. The old man's stubbornness and her desire to help save him from himself. Sad and creepy.

My mama used to do work with elders in poorer parts of a nearby city. She has so many stories, and a lot of them really break my heart. God, we as a society really need to work on supporting and respecting our elders and helping them be okay with accepting support.

Amazing acting and storytelling through and through. I’m surprised the government hasn’t sent a whole SWAT team to this mans house regarding how many carers have disappeared. You can’t just keep sending lone women there 😭

Both actors stole my heart
Horror or not, this was excellent acting in this feature ...two thumbs up plus my two big toes which gives it four up all the way around, again EXCELLENT
it's hard leaving someone we love even if that love is hurting us ... both of them is condamned by love , he can't leave her and doesn't care about his health because to him it's not worthy after her and she is crazy about him and do all her best to keep him with her ...we can see that she turned to something evel and that she became his curse but all what I see is that she's the cursed one ... love it ALTER it reminds me of my dad when my mom passed away in 2007 he kept talking about her like she is present , he couldn't marry or even think about it after her , he even sold every thing because to him if mom wasn't there nothing worth keeping ...those days we convinced him to marry but he is living her lost again like it was yesterday because of that ...
Bravo!!!! That was the best Ghost Movie Ever!!!! I have grown tired of movies about ghosts, then Maggie comes along and Turns it up to 11!!! Great Job!!!!

One of the better ones I've seen them post lately. It's definitely a new favorite of mine and a tragic one for sure.
This was one of the best short movies I've seen. The subtleties are what really made the film for me. The cinematic choices regarding music score, the use of the ticking timer, and that moment when he turned off his hearing aid to foreshadow! WOW!!!! ART!!!
Interesting. It reminds me of a “ghostly” relationship between Paul and Annie, in Stephen King’s, “Misery”!!!!

Interestingly kinda similar to another short film you uploaded this month, Leech. I really enjoyed both.
I felt bad for the man but if I was the girl, I would've just asked Maggie if she was Ok with me tidying up so nobody else might come there and try taking her hubby away from her? As soon as I saw him talking to a spirit, and when he called and said nobody's been coming there, that it had something to do with the spirit offing the nurses who also tried getting him help? This kind of reminds me of "Monster House?" Also, when are ppl going to stop threatening someone right where they're at where something bad can happen to them? She should've left, went back to her manager and explained the situation? Maggie's probably OK with the nurses until they start trying to make that phone call? Even if Maggie loved him when she was alive, she doesn't now? She's trying to keep him trapped there for her selfish benefit?
