    I find it interesting how Shin Megami Tensei games have you just straight up killing foes. Most Jrpgs and many RPGs just act like you somehow knocked them out, rely upon monster enemies, or have you kill them in an unclear way. Shin Megami just has you fight to the death. Sort of refreshing and helps with the grim tone of the series.

    I remember struggling through the whole game. 2-3 levels below each boss felt about right on normal. It was like climbing a mountain. Then I locked myself into the law path. And like ascending to the peak of that mountain I was euphoric. I could fuse anything I wanted. Suddenly my Mish mash or Odin Vasuki and random bullshit was replaced with Gabriel, Michael maria, Metatron Sandalphon and Beelzebub (as my buff\debuff slave, a trophy and little more). I then proceeded to cut a bloody path through the final gauntlet of the game with freikugel and divine arrowstorm. It was fucking glorious.

    Kinda hope we get DLC of Tsukuyomi and Yuzuru interacting more and Tsukuyomi realizing Yuzuru is his Knowledge so he slowly keeps Yuzuru close and gets to know him and his thoughts of what kind of world should be created.
    Because here in the game It was a "Your my Knowledge" quick drop and their union was basically a rush marriage of convenience and why MC and Aogami was able to best them because they had more time to understand each other instead of looking at it like a business transaction

      It's just horribly done. The mechanics clash with each other and the story is basically just a storyboard that the director told the crew to print as is because they took too damn long on the game. The best pacing was at the Lahmu part only because it was the beginning of the game and they were generating it linearly. Even that part is a bit of a jumble because they forced a scene to get Tao in a different position later. The story itself is basically a rip of Final with the Nahobino being the new Godslayers.

    Wish 5 wasn't so much of a Nocturne re-hash. It would be nice to have a SMT2/4 style story on the consoles for once that wasn't Digital Devil Saga. Strange Journey pulled off the "disconnected, altered world" theme the best since 3/Nocturne.

      Specifically, he’s Tsukuyomi, Japanese God of the Moon, and brother to Susanoo, (who is merged with the MC) and Amaterasu, (who for some reason, is not in this game).
      All gods are considered demons because YHWH took their knowledge and threw them into the abyss, causing all gods to lose their divinity and basically be regarded as extremely powerful Demons. Thanks to Lucifer, the knowledge YHWH took is now inside humans, meaning if a God/Goddess finds a human with their stolen Knowledge, they can fuse to become a Nahobino, essentially regaining their full power and divinity from before YHWH stole it.

      @@imortal333 slight correction when YHWH took their knowledge, he stored it into the Apple from The Garden of Eden. Humans gained the Old God's Knowledge by eating the forbidden fruit so when Lucifer killed YHWH humans(and their knoweldge) were no longer protected and free for the taking by the Old Gods

      The 'Some Reason' is mentioned briefly-
      Most of the major Japanese God's are dead at the onset of the game, as mentioned by some side dialogue, hence why Tsukiyomi is in charge; He's what's left.

    I seriously thought Tsukuyomi was Neutral because he wanted to restore Tokyo to save humanity and also didn't want to kill the good demons/gods that tried to save Tokyo and humanity. I thought Yakumo was Chaos because he wanted to kill all the good gods and didn't care that Joka would also die when the "demons" got deleted. This game is horribly written.

    • @xplorer2111
      @xplorer2111 Před rokem +3

      It's not necessarily bad written, it's just a convention of the franchise.
      Law is about following YHWH, Chaos is about letting demons be free (and more often than not having a survival of the fittest mentality) while neutral is always about putting humans first

    This boss was honestly way to easy compared to all the other ones. Like the dude is a complete joke since he doesn't hit hard with anything.
