This Final Boss while a little on the easy side is easily one of the coolest moments in the whole game for me, the design, the music, the lore implications and callbacks are all just so cool to me. Also getting the Colonel from Metal Gear Solid to voice Lucifer is a 10/10 Casting decision, glad he wasn't just used for Nocturne.

Standing up to the Lord of Chaos while not even really standing but actually sitting on the "White Throne" is the ultimate disrespect that hits harder than Megidolaon +8.
It seems like this is supposed to be THE Lucifer's true form that Kaneko mentioned in an interview, supposed to be a combination of the fallen angel's divene (color scheme an 6 wings) and demonic (horns and 6 wings) forms. And... It's deece but kinda disappointing for me, as I was hoping that when the time came, it would be Kaneko and not Doi who would draw Lucifer's true form
@@christopherbravo1813 It's just an assumption but it looks like his original goal was to take the throne, but after he found out that the universe is basically a cycle of death and rebirth, he instead trying to find a way to break the cycle, leading to this boss fight.

@@christopherbravo1813 I think it's pretty clear why Lucifer wouldn't take the universe for himself in this context - upon consuming God's Knowledge and learning of the Mandala System, he saw how pointless it would ultimately be for him to take the throne. So he instead sought to erase the Mandala System and facilitate true change for the universe. As for why Lucifer doesn't enact this change himself, it can be assumed that it requires the power of a Nahobino, which Lucifer himself could not become. This is supported by one of his own statements at the start of the game - immediately after the protagonist fuses with Aogami for the first time, Lucifer comments that the protagonist is the first Nahobino to appear after God's defeat. Thus, it makes sense that Lucifer would urge the protagonist, a Nahobino, to consume his Knowledge and use it to break the universe free from the Mandala System. It was likely a hard realization for Lucifer - he couldn't do what he wanted by his own power, and the only way he could break Mandala was by offering his Knowledge to a Nahobino and entrusting them to do it in his stead. This also shines a light on why Lucifer would offer helpful hints to Ichiro Dazai and Abdiel, who strove to uphold the order of God, his (initial) enemy - he was likely looking for any Nahobino to take his Knowledge and do the deed.
Bruhhh this could have been such a cool fight, but due to the dumb level scaling I couldn't see all of his moves or enjoy the soundtrack, this fight got over sooo fast :/

More like he kills them all. Amanozako, Fionn, Khonsu, Demeter, my boi Quetzálcoatl... They're all dead. Well, Aogami says he is now one with the protag, so maybe all the demons now live as ordinary human beings. That's what I like to imagine. Otherwise this ending is crap.
@@Minarreal Honestly I couldn't imagine a worse ending than wiping out all demons of existence. And I am still puzzled that Lucifer's freedom is basically a suicide mission? I mean, he ppeared to be kinda depressed in SMT 3 but have not expected him to go THAT far.

Where no world is remade and everyone get overwhelmed by demons with few nahobino but no way to restore it or B. Sever demons and by extension the great will's influence from humanity
such a puny letdown of a final boss. not only is he weak, he's *small.* and let's not forget how the Great Will was shoved in here without any buildup whatsoever.
Eh, I actually prefer this over fighting another skyscraper monstroid. I was originally going to make this a "It's not the size that matters" joke, but Lucifer really isn't "using it" skillfully here. When compared with Shiva, the fight's rather...flaccid after all.

I like the pointy legs, but that's just me being an avid Zone of the Enders fan. If it were up to me, *nothing* would have feet. ...I am kidding about that last bit, of course. But yeah, I do understand your issues with it. Lucifer was a giant for the rest of the game after all. And while I may think Doi did a fine job, Kaneko really should have had a "True Lucifer" design on file somewhere for situations like this.
I'm a fan of the mechanical angels like Metatron and Victor, but that's just my personal taste. And my affection for Metatron is entirely personal, so I'm biased towards anything that reminds me of him.
