Marathon was them getting in it, Halo 1 was things coming together, Halo 2 was sheer mastery and perfection. Everything about that game is just so damn iconic. Halo 3 is good, don't get me wrong, but it's just not Halo 2. If you can convince me why Halo 3s writing is better I will see, but as far as a "cinematic" experience goes Halo 2 just goes so hard for me. We have master chief and arbiter two different sides and stories that ultimately meet up near the end. We have the introduction of the gravemind and the floods plans, the gravemind speaks in rhymes which adds to the mythical feel. The dialogue in the game is short and sweet, pretty much EVERY line from the game is quotable and iconic. There is no awkward lines, all of the lines in the game are effective for what they try to do. This is one of those games where people KNOW every single line in the game because they are all just that good. The game is short and sweet, there are so many epic moments that happen in the game. You have the awesome 3 way fights that Halo is known for. IDK man the game is just a masterpiece IMO.

The grunt was a spy working for the Spartans and the word boo was a code that meant they wanted to be handed a gun so when Master Chief said boo the grunt acted scared and throwed the gun so Master Chief can get it
Well probably just how he's mentioned a demon. An unkillable being that wipes out their races greatest warriors with a mix of religious fear or hatred. In a way it's like if the predator taking on the entire US military shows up spontaneously in the same room as you.
