Just finished my install.........and there was no way in hell I could get the front flares to line up with factory fasteners.
I ended up leaving the one forward out ......no way it was going in.
I did use a smaller fastener to secure the front area.

Do yourself a favor and install the rubber spline before installing.
My kit came with a small tool to help with it.

Is there anyway to leave the mud flaps on AND have the fender trim installed at the same time? Or do the flaps have to come off in order to have the fender trim on? I have a 2000 Silverado extended cab and I’m wanting the 1-1.5” fender trim. Thanks to everyone.

My rear fenders are too rusted out to support the hardware ☹️

I have a high mileage 2011 gmc that's just barely getting rust bubbles( Amazing right). The previous owner had the undercarriage sprayed with that gritty acrylic bed liner spray, and it has kept the rust off up until now. When I see those beefy fender flares my mind can't help but wonder how much rust is hiding underneath. I think these flares look more natural and will probably be the style i get.. I honestly think if you put the big flares on with the exposed scews truck owners will assume you're driving a rusted out GM truck. Let's be honest GM had a real rust fender problem and they did nothing about it for over 10 years.

Is it seal off tight for water proof or rain proof, no water or rain can get inside and create rust on fender?

if you live in the salt belt it will rot behind there and the hardware will also rust badly. its almost unavoidable.
