    The hyaluronic serum I use is Pure Hyaluronic Acid from Cos De Baha

    For an amazingly affordable sunscreen without a white caste, great for dry to normal skin - Good Molecules SPF 30: amzn.to/3QAOzPN
    The Gloves I use are Nitrile exam gloves: amzn.to/2U35wU3 and I also use them at home for many other purposes as well.

    INFO ABOUT NUMBING CREAMS ⤵
    I did some research and discovered that over-the-counter topical numbing creams have the potential to be dangerous - even at these doses of 4%-6%. There have been actual deaths of young and healthy people - from topical numbing cream, applied with an occlusive (ie: a covering like plastic wrap). When doing any treatment that impacts the skin's permeability, like through microneedling, it is more risky if you accidentally don't remove it all 100% before needling.
    Here is an article and some studies:
    www.nbcwashington.com/news/he...
    jamanetwork.com/journals/jama...
    academic.oup.com/asj/article/....
    I know that most people will be perfectly fine if they use it, but I am not going to take any risk for the sake of these treatments. Also, since doing this treatment so many times now, the pain is not bad at all compared to how it was the first time I did it!

    I have had acne for years. This resulted in me picking at my skin and of course scars over all my face. The scars on my temples were from middle school (I am 33 now) and I have spent my life hiding behind my hair. I wasn’t sure how much this would work, but I was willing to try anything. i try koi beauty microneedling pen, after my third treatment, i can say they are 50% gone and my skin looks so radiant and younger and softer! This was beyond my expectations.

  • @SLone3251
    @SLone3251 Před 3 lety +87

    Not using vitamin C post-treatment is so true. WAY early on when I was stamping on my own, I'd use a vitamin C serum after in the treatment area and it always stung. Years later did I learn through research and having needling professionally done that you should NEVER use any active before or after the treatment. I cringe at the videos out there where people use vitamin C afterwards. You should always use a pure hyaluronic acid serum or toner -- that's what clinical offices use too. Great video.

    Anyone thinking of doing this, I recommend going to a skin clinic and getting it done before trying it at home, that way it won't seem so scary and you can judge the healing and results off of it, maybe even get ideas for aftercare, ive had this done 4 times in the clinic and it's the best treatment but expensive , going to try it at home as just got a Dr pen so have a fair idea now

It is such a good piece of advice for those who can afford to try it out in a clinic first. Otherwise the second best option is to start with dermarolling first, if concerned and work the way up to it - once the person does some research on it all. Thank you!

      Hey Anna! Well, I haven't noticed too much excess hair growth elsewhere. I also noticed that I don't have excess hair growth every single time. I think it depends on the hair growth cycle things are in, but I am not sure. I think if I wanted to really have extra hair growth with the brows, I would make more time to focus on needling that area...which I haven't been too focused on lately. Luckily I haven't had excess hair growth on my face overall from microneedling. :)

      Hi Samer! Thanks for the comment! I understand what you mean about the HA serum drying way too fast. Is there any way you can try the one I'm using - from Cos De Baha? It's way thicker, almost like a gel, than other ones I've used. It really doesn't doesn't dry up easily. Besides that, from what the experts have stated online about products to use - they would say to avoid anything other than HA, if doing this at home epsecially. When I first did it, I used oil - also something you should avoid. Some people will be ok using things like that, but it could cause some skin issues. Most experts just recommend the best HA serum you can find - with few ingredients.

When do you apply sunscreen? What about vitamins? I watched your video on this (jan2019) but wanted to know if you have updated your views?
    To minimize even more the inherents risks of the ingredients/vehicles with ready-to-use products, have you thought about creating them yourself with pure ingredients i.e HWM-HA? (got this idea by reading -the highly recommended- Lance Setterfield's book; he doesn't necessarily support this, but in countries where there are poor regulations to cosmeticals, you are left with no options). btw my gf looks similar to you... similar eyes, cheekbones, nose etc and she's in her late 20s. I’m 42 years old and just got a Dr. Pen. I bought the 42 pin attachments with it. I’m using it for hair loss which I’m not bald just noticing my hair line in the front is starting to thin in a 2 small places. I came from a different channel where the guy is using the same equipment you are and he recommended for hair loss or scalp work to go 1.5 and go in a circular motion about 5 times in each area needed. I washed my hair and face then started. Man it stings on the scalp to the point blood was coming out which I’ve heard on a few different channels is completely normal and is actually good because it means I’m getting deep enough for it to stimulate hair growth. My question to you is do I have to put anything on my face before and after the procedure? Should I put anything like Neosporin to prevent infection on my scalp or is it ok just to leave it with nothing on it? I see you have a lot of comments so if you don’t answer I understand and if you do then thank you!

    I use a 30% glycolic acid peel twice a week and it’s much faster and better results I’ve found. It makes skin smoother, tightens and lifts my drooping eyelids a bit, and helps with wrinkles around the eyes. It helps with acne scars and evening the skin tone. If you want to try it do research and start slow then up the amount of time you leave it on and the number of layers. It has basically no downtime and you can do it when you have acne unlike microneedling. But both are good because for anti-aging and stimulating collagen and you can totally incorporate them both into a routine

      @LifeDIY  Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks, Rich! You might want to try out some peels for the acne scars. It depends on the type of scars you have, but this video might be helpful: czcams.com/video/-4Nrf9i6ROs/video.html. Otherwise, microneedling with a pen might help. I would hope it would. I only have a chicken pox scar on my forehead, and I need to take some more closeups to see if it's improved since I started the needling, as it wasn't super noticeable to me to begin with - and I didn't really focus my treatments on that area specifically. I think the pen can work more aggressively than a roller, for sure. It might take a combination of methods to get rid of the scarring. I have heard of others having really great results though.

      Sherri, thank you for the comment! I would recommend trying face peels first probably - just to get used to doing new skincare procedures and getting your skin used to it. Peels are absolutely incredible. The very first ones I ever used were from Dr. Gross - their peel pads amzn.to/32ix1NF and they are incredible but a little expensive. These are supposed to be great too: amzn.to/2V91NqU and cheaper. They peel pads are what initially got me hooked though! I did a video on beginner peels and I still love all of those ones still too and they are more affordable. If you ever have questions, let me know! ☀️
