"A sergeant with the City University of New York’s Department of Public Safety told pro-Palestinian protestors he supports “killing all you guys” during a graduation ceremony.
The altercation took place on Thursday at the College of Staten Island and was caught on video and posted on social media by journalist Hebh Jamal. In the footage, the officer’s uniform says “Sgt. D. Girard.” He was later identified as Donald Girard by the New York Daily News. Here is his exchange with protestors:
PROTESTOR: You support genocide!
GIRARD: Yes I do.
PROTESTOR: You support genocide!
GIRARD: I support genocide. I support killing all you guys. How about that?"

I understand Cenk's point. I don't like the idea that we just brush things off as "just being a New Yorker", but we also should look at the situation in context and not go overboard. Does he really want to see them die, or was he just annoyed in the moment?
Being a cop isn't like other jobs, and if you have a bunch of people screaming in your face calling you nasty stuff, well, we're humans, and we can end up saying some stuff out of emotion.
