  • In this video I talk about slabbed silver coins and why I do not buy them. I am not a huge fan of slabbed silver coins. I do not collect or try to flip slabbed silver coins and that is mainly why I do not buy them. I also think that slabbed silver can be overpriced and sometimes the silver can milk spot in the slabs. Buying slabbed silver in not in my silver stacking strategy this year.

Funny thing is over the last 3 years the only silver I've sold for profit are slabbed ASE's.

I feel this way about community poured silver. High premium you will NEVER recoup..bring a poured loaf to an LCS and see what they offer IF they even make an offer. Bring them a 1994 MS70 ASE and see what happens.

Since we’re all aware that silver will tarnish, eventually, then why the heck would you pay a premium for a silver bullion (or any type of silver) coin wrapped in plastic? Your MS70, with toning, or spotting, is no longer an MS70. Bye-Bye premiums. Be smart, just buy the BU, and stack them for your future purchasing power.

I buy slabbed ASE'S coins for my collection but I don't stack slabbed coins. I also like to give them as gifts to family members.

You go Dragons, touch those coins. It always amazes me how everyone is worried about what everyone else does. They are yours, do with them what you will.

The reason why PCGS doesn't put "American Silver Eagle" is because they're an American based company, and they only state the country of origin for foreign coins, given how there are so many different designs from all over the world throughout history.

I don't see the appeal. You can't touch it!

I avoid them too. Counterfeiters also like to hide their fakes sometimes behind sealed plastic too. 😉👌🏼

I absolutely agree with you dude, I don't like the slabbed coins either. I don't give a dam about scratches or milk spots. I like being able to hold it without all that white gloves bullshit. Its JUST an ounce of silver ffs. Thanks for the video!

How does a proof coin sent by the mint, miss the MS70 mark? I wish I knew

Older Vintage Numismatic Coins Like Rare Morgans, Seated Liberty, ect... to me make sense to be verified by a reputable company like PCGS or NGC. Verifying very collectible coins and having them graded can substantially change the value... A MS 62 or MS 63 Morgan doesn’t nearly have the value a MS 66 or MS 67 or above in Coins like Morgans. Stacking Modern Silver-is a totally different story... Makes no sense to have Silver Eagles you stack to be graded unless it has a sentimental value like my fathers Silver Eagles he passed on to me... That being said... We are obviously talking about two totally different things... Keep up the great videos my friend...
