14:16 Something I forgot to mention: there are plenty of non-graphic, happy images and videos that can help you feel more connected to farm animals (e.g. Esther the Wonder Pig, Crouton the Cow, the dodo)
Unnatural Vegan thank you so much for making this video. She loves your channel and I hope she understand we are all in support of her (Jenna’s) life🌸
Just so you're aware, the Dodo is run by PETA
I was about to write exactly the same!! Such accounts helped me a lot when I first became vegan
Hank the pig is my favorite insta!
Yea Ive been vegan for 7-9 years I think, but just recently I purchase Magnesium Supplements that CLAIM to be vegan online, but when I got them they were vegetarian....I noticed this AFTER a few days of supplementing with them. It happens Freelee.
But in all reality, Jenna HAD to kinda know lol I mean " CHICKEN Ramon Noods" ...come on lol I love her tho
An attack on Jenna Marbles is an attack on everything good in this world.
Yes.
Facts.
True!!
Accurate, no one comes for jenna and gets away with it
Preach!
She came for Jenna???
Hold my tea, gotta cancel my basketball game.
It was tomorrow.
Treebz omg I’m dying lmao !
Shes been coming for jenna for years. It's pretty sad
Hell Yeah!!

Freelee seems like the type of vegan that would force a vegan diet on their cat.
dramasbomin oh my god! You don’t know how many people I’ve argued with about this.
Didn’t she feed her dogs a vegan diet?
NeverHide dogs can be vegan, cats can’t
Anybody doing that should be charged with animal abuse
Ran Kasai even if they could.. just why xD ?
Banana chick: “Honey is bad for your blood sugar!”
Also banana chick: “Don’t be afraid of sugar! Sugar is your friend!”
Right!! Banana brain diet consist of pure sugar cause all she eats is fruit! Even though it’s natural sugar it’s A LOT of sugar and wayyy more sugar than anyone should be consuming!
I'm still losing my mind over that. No diet should consist of that much sugar with so little proteins and fats to balance it out. I mean... she must be getting SOME protein to get so fit right?
@@decembervyne6541 She's not fit, she's scrawny. It's easy to pedal a bike when you weigh nothing.
Doesn't she eat like 20 bananas a day? Like that's healthy...

This is the lady who made an hour-long video of her crying and apologizing because she put a tiny fish in a rounded aquarium. Leave Jenna alone she's so pure.

And excellent at giving her hamster the most possible.
THANK YOU! SHE’S AMAZING AND KIND.

Also Freelee: drinks 2 litres of orange juice with coconut sugar for breakfast

@@tinmanluver35 I mean, she even says how sugar (even refined sugar) isn’t bad for you 😂
Honestly... seeing her put that heaping tablespoon of sugar into her juice/smoothie was the last straw I needed go convince myself that this woman really is insane... 😂
No really. If you become so desensitised to the taste of your food like... don't you think it's time to cut back on the fruit?
I can’t even imagine how bad Freelee’s teeth are after consuming so much sugar >.
Really hahahah. Oh my. I feel I lost some braincells just by reading this comment thread about what this woman is saying / doing. So glad i don't know her videos 😅☺
The AMOUNT of people who went vegan while Julien was slowly going into veganism is insane. They don’t have to make videos on convincing people. They tell us why they choose the lifestyle and MOTIVATE PEOPLE
Exactly. I honestly would not go fully vegan but thanks to them I would consider making some changes to my diet once I could afford it
To be honest, watching their videos, made me feel more motivated to move towards a plant based diet. I was looking at them and was like, oh look, their food looks tasty and not boring or stuffy.
Just so you know! You can eat a vegan diet for SO cheap. it does get more expensive when you add in the replacement type stuff but I ate a more whole foods vegan diet for under 75 a month! and I had a huge variety of foods as well ☺️ if you want to you’ll find a way! and there are so many amazing people promoting cheap ways to eat vegan as well ☺️

I like Jenna because she doesn't shove being vegan down people's throats she makes it look fun and not so hard.
She's been off and on again too right? She did a funny video several years ago where she shoved burgers in her mouth while crying. I think she's cycled back and forth between vegan and not, which is so totally fine. If anything, it makes her relatable.

JennyWas13 yeah Jenna and julien made me go vegan because I realized I don’t have to be so strict. Trying my best is an improvement compared to eating all animal products
They actually make me want to go vegan tbh (I just have my personal issues for why I haven't yet) But Freelee makes me feel like I'd get yelled at if I didn't do it the way I want.
I'm not vegan but when they cook vegan food, I want to cook that food. I want to incorporate that into my diet. Just being honest and open with your way of life without judgement for those that don't subscribe to those same ideals is a good way of opening up a community to people who probably thought it wasn't for them. Like saying "hey, you don't have to make this your entire lifestyle, it's okay to dabble a bit and see what you like, whilst continuing with what you were doing before."
So true
Very true! They inspired me to try out veganism by showing the many things you can still eat. (Gluten free too!)
... I thought jenna’s audience was just people who either like dogs or are generally exhausted isn’t that everyone
Also people who are in need of a break. Not necessarily tired. Just need a break from the world to watch a 32 year old lady and her boyfriend do arts and crafts while her dogs seek attention
Yup!! That's me lol
NO ONE insults our vegan queen, jenna. she is literally the sweetest and most caring person ever. meanwhile freelee is the most problematic bully and makes the entire vegan community look bad.

Yess. It feels like some people use veganism as an excuse to be The Best at something and berate others for not being perfect.

Yyyaaassss!!!
Exactly! She is the reason so many people say they stopped even trying after a while. Simply because they are constantly told they are a shit person for a small mistake or that they can never win/ be good enough. You'd think someone who tries to claim she wants everyone to do better would have learned this by now.
🙌
Did anybody else read “32 year old lady” from the title in Jenna’s voice?
Carly R yes!!!

Of course! :D
Lol yes!!
Yes I sang it in my head
Regarding the honey, I’m a bee farmer in training, and I want to clarify that we aren’t cruel to our bees in any way. They live naturally, but call our hives their home. A single bee makes 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in their entire life, but they only eat less than a quarter of that amount. Bees produce large quantities of excess honey that they simply don’t use. We harvest that excess and use it.
Bee farms like ours are the only reason bee populations are even alive today. The natural honey bee, an insect that’s absolutely essential to the environment, is dying out due to pollution and habitat encroachment. It’s the hard truth, and the only way we’ll be able to sustain the population is through controlled bee farms. The only way many vegetables, produce, and flower species will survive is through controlled and monitored bee populations.
Please, if you want to support the bees, buy organic honey. It does no harm to the bees, but actually helps them massively.
You are way over stating honey bees role. It's not because of bee farmers that bees are alive today. Yes native bees are insects, but so are honey bees so I'm not sure why you felt the need to make that distinction. Honey bees are an invasive species and contrary to the picture you are attempting to paint, are responsible for a miniscule amount of pollination minus almond farms. There is a new species that's here now harming the wild bee because it's aggressive and guards any area it claims for pollination. There is no where near enough honey bees to even begin to replace the wild bee nor can there be because they can't survive the winters in many areas like wild ones can.
The honey bee is a non-native species in most of the world and competes with native pollinator species. Stop spreading this blatant lie.
@@chloro8306 Not to be rude, but maybe they don't know this? Its better to educate than accuse.
Matthew Jensen sane reason they should just eat local and organic dairy and egg products too.
J Couture bees are kept in much different conditions then cows and chickens
Isnt refusing to consume honey adding to colony collapse? It doesnt hurt the bees at all, if anything it benefits the bees to purchase local honey because that will support bee keepers. Happy bees make honey, sad bees dont.
In the beginning i of my veganism of my veganism i didn't understand as well.
But try to look at it like that. Often Bees dying in the process and they may have a shorter live due to farming. But lets pretend it isn't like this. Why should someone eat honey, with so many alternativs on the Market.
Bees need their honey, we don't.
@@eckopeace7068 Because bees overproduce honey, because no sugar alternative is free of side effects (xylitol gives you diarrhea, agave nectar harvesting is adding to the endangerment of bats who feed on it, etc.), because despite what some vegans think SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIPS ACTUALLY EXIST?
@@spiderlily723 i don't want to tell you, what you should or shouldn't eat. It is just that vegans believe, that is better to not to eat products where animals are getting harmed.
Symbiotic realtionships means both induviduals gets a profit from the relationship. When only we take honey it is more like a parasite. But whatever, do whatever you like, i just want to explain why it isn't vegan. Have a nice day.
@@eckopeace7068 Parasites actively harm their host, that's why they're parasites. Good bee-keeping means you take care of the bees, provide housing, make sure they survive in non-optimal weather, provide them with plants to pollinate and in exchange you get to harvest honey.

People who believe consuming honey and beekeeping is immoral is willfully ignorant to how beekeeping works. I have been keeping bees for months now and I’m constantly learning more about them. There are so many misconceptions about beekeeping and it’s very frustrating sometimes. Here are some examples of things I’ve learned since I started beekeeping:
1. *Smoking bees* is NOT harmful for them. Obviously you don’t want to light a campfire under the hive, but a few puffs of white smoke to mask their alarm pheromones is beneficial for both the bees and the keeper. Bees communicate through smell, and if one bee thinks there’s danger, she will alert other bees to attack. The smoke disguises that smell and drives the bees back down into the hive so they aren’t crowded at the top. I usually don’t even have to smoke my bees, they’re usually docile and I can read their body language to know if they’re getting upset.
2. *Some bees get killed in the process* but it isn’t dozens all at once. We’re very careful not to squish them, but it is inevitable that some will die here and there. It hurts my heart when it happens, and I try to avoid it to the best of my ability. What we do for the bees by inspecting their hives and make sure everything is running smoothly makes up for the fact that some may perish in the process. It’s in the keeper’s best interest to avoid squishing the bees.
3. *Honey bees are competition for native bees* (depending on where you live), but there are ways to increase native populations of bees too. Non-honey producing bees are just not profitable (although they do a better job of pollinating) compared to the financial benefit of selling honey.
But many beekeepers have native bee houses as well as honey bee hives, and it’s a growing trend even among non beekeepers. They’re very easy and inexpensive to make, and there’s hardly any maintenance involved.
People who think beekeeping is unethical just don’t know enough about it, same as everyone else in the world. I’m constantly answering questions from people who are curious about how beekeeping works, and I was even able to do a demonstration of a hive inspection for an audience of friends. I wish people would do their research on honey bees before concluding that honey is morally bad just because someone on youtube said it was. It’s so much more complex than *animal product = bad*
@@somad6997 This logic doesn't actually care about the bees when it completely disregards the millions of others that are well taken care of. There is nothing about any consumption that can avoid the accidental loss of insect life
@@somad6997 Not eating honey won't really do anything for the death of the bees and instead impact the livelihood of the thousands of surviving bees. Again, there is no food you can consume that hasn't killed insects in some way or another, be it accidentally or on purpose. So it is better to support one that intentionally tries to avoid it or lump them all together anyways?
Regarding "exploiting" the bees, I can assure you that they do not care. It's a mutually beneficial relationship. The bees get protection for generations in exchange for their excess honey. There is a reason exploitation is bad but that's just not what's happening here 🐝🐝
@@joshb895 I can understand trying to minimize damage and harm in our diets but I still believe the logic holds that honey does that just fine to be considered vegan friendly. If all food industries kill, ones that actively try to avoid it should not be lumped with the rest. That's the point, right? To minimalize?
Also there's nothing wrong with beekeeping. Irresponsible beekeeping will allow invasion but that doesn't need to be fought with boycotting honey. There's different ways. And yes, they are taken care of more than a wild bee. Nothing wrong with it.
I'll repeat my points just as often as you do yours. I defend honey because I legit care about the business and just do not agree that it's not vegan. An opinion developed and backed by many other vegans so it genuinely doesnt matter that I'm not one.
We'll likely go back and forth forever tho so no real need to keep debating about it tbh lmao

Freelee is jealous, and is super obvious. Especially when she tries to belittle Jenna’s channel and audience. She dislikes the fact that Jenna is more beloved than she is. Jenna is an example of what a vegan should be. She also doesn’t force it on people or judge other people for not being vegan. She talks about it and it’s actually gotten many people into it from watching her channel. Leafy is the obnoxious and stereotypical example of a vegan that makes people not like vegans. She turns people off to veganism especially with her attitude.

Also saying you need to watch animal torture videos to stay committed sounds a lot like cult-like emotional self flagellation.
Vegan/Vegetarian/Animal activits telling to people to "Watch Earthlings, it'll change your mind" are fcking assholes and I won't take any kind of counter argument to people defending people wanting to put others throught a traumatic documentary because it's apparently good for them.

I would bet money on it that Jenna and her boyfriend Julien have inspired more people to become vegan than Freelee.
Jenna and Julian have done more for the vegan image than most of the major vegan youtubers in recent years.
They have made us look normal and chill, undoing the damage that people like freelee have done.
Being vegan "in the background" instead of making it your main personality trait really shows that it is possible to be vegan and not be the stereotype
I have infinate love for those two for so many reasons
IK RIGHT they are both some of the main reasons why I went vegetarian and am transitioning into veganism
I’m not vegan, and I used to think not so great things about them, but from watching Jenna and Julien I’ve gained SO MUCH respect for vegans and the food they create. to see someone with an audience promoting a vegan lifestyle that’s fun, empathetic, and welcoming is SO EFFECTIVE and I buy and promote vegan brands because of people like Jenna and the kind vegans I know. Hopefully someday I can afford to try to go vegan. Keep being awesome.
I'm not vegan but I love, love, love, tofu tenders bc of Jenna. She is so nonchalant and non pushy.
You’re absolutely right. Their videos aren’t shaming in the least when they make vegan and gf recipes and I’ve tried several (I’m not vegan) and they’re REALLY GOOD. I love that they make it known they follow the lifestyle but it’s not in your face and rude.
They were the ones who introduced the idea and turned me towards being vegan
Missing honey on a label is really easy too, because unlike milk or eggs, it's not in bold letters and is usually near the end of the list.
Yes. That’s because honey isn’t one of the top eight allergens. It’s similar with being gluten free. There have been times when I’ve skimmed the label and because there wasn’t wheat listed at the bottom, I assumed it was gluten free. My stomach suffered after...
Yes!!! I accidentally ate some granola bar or something and it was sweetened with honey. This is still unfortunate but still better than accidentally eating something with meat I think
Also there are vegans who choose to eat honey to support bee populations, so from what I understand honey is one of those "vegan's choice" foods anyway. To come after Jenna for honey is fucking weak lol
Wylde Fyre I feel the same way. I have a cinnamon allergy and often I miss it because it just says spices.
Yeah, especially when you’re in a rush and can’t triple check the label, recently I bought a cereal with honey in it, luckily I saw before opening it.
Ughhh my mom's a dietitian and it is so refreshing how solid an understanding of nutrition science you have! Thank you for being "logical and practical," as Jenna said lol
Chloe Parsons I’m not remotely vegan but I love listening to her talk, she’s so smart and well spoken.
Not to mention it's IMPOSSIBLE to be a "perfect" vegan or a PERFECTLY ethical person period. Like does freelee look into every brand of every product to make sure that every material is ethically and sustainably sourced? Does she research every piece of clothing to make sure it or the material it's made from didn't come from a sweatshop? Sounds like someone who is clearly reaching and obviously name dropping for nothing but notoriety and views.
Edit: Someone literally commented on her "off grid shower" video that the pipes she uses aren't vegan because "plastics manufacturers use animal fat additives to improve material properties and/or to aid in the processing of raw polymers." I don't know about that but POINT PROVEN. A taste of her own medicine perhaps?
those who don't watch animal exploitation videos regularly
did you mean: *normal people*
Honestly I don’t get how she can do that. The few videos I have seen made me sick to my stomach. But they didn’t make me want to go vegan either
I'm numb to those videos because I've been on enough farms to see animals slaughtered in real life. I do better following farm sanctuaries on instagram and seeing happy animals getting another chance at life. (But I'm also not fully vegan yet, thanks stomach issues)
@@vigtoria8123 how does that not make you want to go vegan after seeing that horrendous slaughter:/?
👆🙌👏👏
Haley .JustHaley it’s not necessary to go vegan after seeing that. people like meat. they just need to make sure they are buying it from an ethical and reliable source. with no growth hormones added and pure, 100%, organically and ethically raised.
Playing vegan border patrol is getting old. Someone, please buy that woman her own special hat and a notepad, so she can look more believeable and then let’s call it a day. Honey is not vegan, but neither is botox.
TheKristinaH or palm oil
Plus I’d say honey is debated as vegan or not in the vegan world so we just have an understanding not to push each other on it because both interpretations are pretty valid.
LOL
OOOOOOOOO shiiiiiit
She watched to much Scott Pilgrim and she wants to be Vegan Police too
Julien liked your video! It’s in his likes playlist on his channel.
I'm a simple girl. I see Jenna Marbles, I click.
the amount of effort jenna & julien put into their veganism and sustainability cannot be put back by accidentally eating honey. she's acting like she accidentally ate a steak.
Skye Esprit and even if they ate one steak, that wouldn’t undo the progress they’ve made. It’s still way better than most of the population
Not eating honey is killing the bees. Harvesting honey does NOT hurt the bees. Using agave as a substitute is actually killing bats. Honey should be considered vegan.
I agree with you!! Also Ur so pretty
Exactly! And honey doesn’t even harm bees. Beekeepers are providing homes and care for a dying species. Idk. I agree with you!
I literally misread this as “ate a seal” 😂
There's so many adults who watch Jenna's content because we were kids & teenagers when she started on CZcams. So crazy Freelee thinks her audience is kids when I'm positive it's majority adults.
Yeah, I really doubt that a lot kids would watch a 20-30 min slow paced video of Jenna walking her dogs or painting. I feel like her energy and style are more suited to young adults and up
She makes videos for anyone who is a ✨32-year old laaaadyyy ✨ in their heart
I just started watching her a couple months ago for her 32yr old lady content lol
That's for sure, I'm 25 year old lAaAdDyY and watch every single one of her videos
I'm 19 and I love Jenna, her videoes are genuinely funny
Maybe watching these extremely violent animal abuse content constantly is making her a little too extreme and crazy... Just maybe.... Maybe she should calm down a little, have a glass of water idk
I got extremely nervous and worried even, when I saw freelee’s video. I tried to express my opinions but alas, comments were disabled. I think Jenna is extremely valuable to the vegan community. Since (as freelee says) “her demographic is children” that’s nearly 20,000,000 children that are hearing “vegan” in some capacity, we should be thanking her, not gossiping like old church ladies about some crackers and flavor packets.
The thing is the Jenna and Julien also eat gluten free, which is hard enough. So any effort to go animal product free should be commended in my opinion. And Julien also shows certain recipes that are suitable for him, so can also introduce celiacs who may be intimidated by vegetarianism/veganism etc.
I’m GF and this is so important to consider, I wanted some bread as we’re going on a trip soon and it’s a nice treat and literally every single GF bread in the store I went to had egg in. I mostly eat vegan but I’m GF for digestive issues and it’s hard to find things that work
Yes!! If you have a dietary restriction it can be SO much harder for you to be vegan. I have a nut allergy and SO many “vegan” products or recipes contain nuts and it is one of the reasons why I am not vegan. Sorry Freelee ✌🏼
Without human interaction honey bees do not survive in nature so when you refuse to eat honey, you are killing honey bees.
@DingleBungus there's plenty of other types of bees in the wild but the kind we use to harvest and gather honey are a domesticated breed, they have been in human captivity longer than we've domesticated cats... as far as them surviving in the wild perhaps they do in their native habitat but not here in the rural US where I'm from, beekeepers have a hard enough time keeping them alive while protected let alone in the wild
Yeah yeah yeah
There’s girls out here accidentally uploading themselves beating their dogs but this girl’s going after Jenna’s ramen nails 😂
Wait... WAT!?
@@SurprisedPikacheesecake Brooke houts, alinity threw her cat and there's this other girl beating her dog up.
Seems like she attacks popular CZcamsrs so she can get more views. I love Jenna and Julien, I had to watch that terrible video banana lady did and unfortunately probably counted as a view, even tho I exited it early and didn’t finish it. That’s how that lady has to get people to watch. That’s how she makes that $$$$$ Didn’t hesitate to give it a thumbs down on my way out. That banana lady was absolutely disgusting to listen to. And she also showed gnarly animal slaughter with ZERO warning and was completely traumatized!
She doesn’t care about animals she just wants views. There are a bunch of CZcamsrs who eat meat and are super fit and healthy and she can’t argue about them because they are fit then their are really great Vegan channels who give great advise and tips but she would never promote them if it doesn’t get her views or attention. She really just wants attention because she isn’t good at anything other than judging everyone for not being a 90 pound raisin like her. 🤷🏼♀️
Amen.
I think I remember freelee saying non-vegans don’t deserve to live.
I can’t stand her
But it's ALL about compassion! /sarcasm
How hypocritical. Save animals but kill people mhm

You are spot on about the mental abuse affects. She is a codependent and is magnetically attracted to narcissists. It is very sad to see.
Exactly..she is massively code pendent. She jumped straight out of her relationship with DR into a relationship with Robin. After such an abusive relationship you need time to heal alone but she never had that. Freelee has absolutely zero self awareness though and would never recognise this in herself.
Get a farm animal but your rescue severely traumatized greyhound that you are recently dedicating your time and heart to doesn’t count... ok...🙄
Cheryl they did adopt a cow! Basically. They paid for all of its expenses until it died. Julien has a tattoo dedicated to it
Cheryl THANK YOU! All I was thinking was « what about bunny?! »
I think she’s pretty out of touch with them because she didn’t even know that Ad had passed away. That makes it even more obnoxious because she obviously doesn’t keep up with them so to act like she “cares” is just sad.
Johanna Cheryl yes pour little ad passed away i think over a year ago
Also jenna and julien have talked about getting chickens in the past, but have acknowledged that they dont know enough and wouldnt be able to care for it properly. That's responsible veganism and pet ownership, you dont just get a farm animal for your own "connection" or whatever, you make sure you're ready and doing what's right for the animal.
Freelee wishes she could be The 32-Year-Old Lady
Love the capital haha The CZcams Queen
especially when she looks 50
I'm 35 and love J&J. I'm a non vegan BUT have no meat days and I am inspired by them. They are amazing.
I bought a "Nut Only Nut and Seed" mix a few months ago without checking it was vegan (because it was NUT MIX). It had beef jerky in it. BEEF. JERKY. I took it back to the store, and the cashier was vegan. I showed her the beef jerky on the 'NUT ONLY NUT AND SEED MIX.' She was confused. I was confused. Honestly, I'm still confused.
Jenna and Julien’s videos of helping their rescue greyhound, Bunny, adapt to her new life filled with love and compassion, do a thousand times more toward promoting a commitment to animal welfare than any of the animal torture porn that Freelee promotes. And that more than compensates for a molecule of homey and another molecule of chicken stock.
sandihj - Sometimes manufacturers change ingredients in products. We have been caught this way when buying our usual brands which were safe for our daughter’s allergies. She had a reaction and I had to go through the pantry to discover which product caused it.
And whatever happened to freelee's dog figsy?
Absolutely!
Yessss!
Right!
You know who I could see being able to watch animal torture videos every single day without experiencing burn out?
Someone who lacks empathy.
Judging from Freelee's other callout videos, she 100% lacks empathy. She can't put herself in someone else's shoes AT ALL.
Was about to make that same comment. Would t be surprised if she enjoys it actually
If she was really committed to her ideas she wouldn't have to be reminded why she believes in what she believes in.
yep
What I find funny is that a couple years back we all remember Freelee making more positive videos after her and durian ended things and she talked about regretting her aggressive approach. And now she's back at it and more extreme than ever. 🙄
Freely is the vegan version of Onion boy.
Onion boy is vegan too
Freelee's tone gives me anxiety, lots of underlying rage. She just needs to chill.
G. Bee I think she hasn’t let go of her eating disorder and control issues with it
It's all that sugar 😂
@@HOHGuncle1312 yes absolutely.
Omg yessss 😂
She clearly has lotof issues
Also, Julien has a few videos of them visiting an animal sanctuary near them where they fell in love with a cow... and adopted her. As in paid for the cow's needs until the cow passed away. But I guess Freelee can't do all of the research.
and he got her tattooed on his arm for the rest of his life! Guess that's not enough of a connection for bananabrain girl
I didn't know about this, yay, another reason to love Julien
Omg?? That’s so cute!!!!
Basically Freelee feels like that catty mean, pretty teen girl that grew up, had an existential crisis, and might "care about" certain things but at heart is still the same person. :/
The moment vegan preaches how HoNeY iS eViL, they lose all credibility for me. You can argue mass-harvesting is bad, but the really healthy thing we had in our diet as a species for ages? Really?
Want to hear what soy does to your body or who's harvesting your cashews?
I will not buy honey because even if doesn't even hurt an animal, it's not mine. However, my mom got me raw honey from a 92 yo neighbor because I had a cold and she heard it was good for your throat. Of course I used it. I don't get people like freelee and yes, Jenna was part of the reason I went vegan.

"Watching animal exploitation regularly" girl that CANT be good for your mental health
cyb0rgirl I would have depression. Really.
She also said she has dead animals as her lock screen to “remind her” of the torture..... like girl.
This would be like me watching obese autopsy and gastric bypass videos regularly to remind myself why I exercise and eat healthy
cyb0rgirl I watched a video of the (halal) slaughter of a pregnant cow. They executed her then took her baby out and beheaded it. It fucked me up so so bad. I still cry when I think about it. She looked at her killer so innocently right before he killed her. I’m still “damaged” by it.

There is a principle for this "dont make the perfect the enemy of the good."
Why I watch Jenna's "mind numbing videos"
1. Because I need a brake from my stressful job
2. Because being an adult at all times is not fun, and getting to be childish for half an hour once a week is not bad, I'd say its necessary.
3. Because Jenna is the most wholesome person I know on this platform.
Same, she helps me when I'm having anxiety attacks:)
Yaaaaas! Jenna is Queen. ❤️❤️❤️
That banana lady is the most disgusting personality I have ran into on CZcams.
yea i look forward to wednesdays/thursdays cus jenna's videos are like the highlight of my week
Jenna has single handedly quashed my fears of growing older. I know now that transitioning into adulthood and becoming an adult full time doesn't have to be joyless. You can be selfish and kind at the same time and that's wonderful.
TheCurvyGamer me too! I’m 21 so I’m still pretty young(?) and Jenna & Julien make me actually pretty excited to get older. They seem like they’ve found a really good balance of being responsible adults and still having fun
We don't need a few people being vegan perfectly to make a difference, we need millions of people doing their best (imperfectly!) to make a big impact on the environment, our food supply etc.
Thank you! I have a lot of vegan friends, some of them have introduced me to some of the most delicious meals out there, but since I have a nut allergy, I cannot participate fully in veganism. I know a lot of people have dietary restrictions that make everyday eating much more challenging, and sometimes going fully vegan will affect that. I do my best to remove meat and milk from my diet (which is extremely difficult in a Hispanic household, my dad makes carne asada every week) and increase the amount of vegetables and fruits to my diet, but it’s an effort. Hopefully, one day, people can enjoy food while still being aware of the impact they make with their food choices and care for the planet AND those that live on it.
Bingo! I doubt I'll ever go 100% vegan, but I make a conscious effort to limit my consumption of meat because it's a practical (for me) way that I can have a positive impact on the environment. At this point I probably only eat meat 1 or 2 days a week. And it's not like I miss it! If everyone did this, the world would be such a better place with so much less animal suffering and an overall healthier global ecosystem. And it wouldn't require a huge shift in lifestyle, which is something that most people just find intimidating, if not outright impossible depending on their situation.
Agreed so much. "It's the little things" is a good saying. Everyone is in a different place in their life...you can only try so hard if you also want to keep your mental health, especially if you have other stressors in life. I'm vegetarian, not vegan because I'm at a point in my life were it would not be practical (for many long reasons) and we're I can't mentally deal with the stress of more societal judgment about my diet... I mean, my family almost disowned me when I went vegetarian lol. Meat eaters included, everyone has their reasons. Shade never made anyone less omnivorous (yes that's a Taylor reference).
I started being vegetarian by making small changes. As silly as it sounds, that first step was learning HOW TO FIND vegetarian recipes (I'm not entirely sure I knew they existed😂). Apparently all you have to do is google 'vegetarian recipes'. WHO KNEW??? Then I started eating a flexitarian diet and slowly (like over the course of 2 YEARS) became vegetarian. But you know what? I still eat sushi sometimes because it's my mom's favourite thing to do with me and I love her more than fish . But you know what? I love to challenge myself to make vegan recipes and I actively support/defend vegan products/people. (Almost) everyone is trying to do good. The causes we support and the ways we show our love for humanity/ the planet may be different, but we are all trying to accomplish the same goal.
Thats why meatless monday is making its round around the world! I love vegan and non vegan food and I cant give meat fully up, but I know sustaining from meat a couple of times a week can help!!
I have OAS (oral allergy syndrome) and I’m allergic to a good 25 types of fruit, veg and most nuts out there to being vegan to me is pretty much impossible unless I wanna live off bananas and tangerines and some people need to realise dietary requirements are a thing
clearly she isn't aware of Jenna's content, her hamster Ad died at least a year ago. just shows how out of touch Freelee is.
there is neuroscientific evidence that pain can be addictive, including emotional pain, they were mostly studying self shame and relieving your own personal trauma, but why not trauma by proxy like watching animal cruelty videos? i think that happens to some vegans, they become vegan and all they can think and talk about is pain.
Freelee is low-key a woman version of Onision. Similar delusions, narcissism, and obsessions with the past. I LOVE Jenna's videos, she's genuinely lovely and absolutely hilarious. I'm 22.

I found your video because I LOVE Jenna and she and Julien are the main reason I've been vegetarian/vegan for almost a year now!
I appreciate your empathy; as a relatively new vegan, I've made the "slip up" mistakes where I misread a label or was ignorant to how something was cooked, and I've made the very conscious "screw it, I'm sad, I want cheese" mistakes. While a Freelee video can be understood as a "call-to-action" from my semi-vegan brain, you make me feel "forgiven" for my slip-ups and it makes me want to continue on this journey even more.
