    @14:00 hearing Cameron and Danny talking about being their own critic did my heart good. That was something m 'ol Dad told me (he was a bricklayer, I was a concrete finisher),, "Son, you're the pro here,, YOU KNOW what's right. At the end of the day, when you go home YOU NEED to know you sold the customer the very best work you can do knowing you can always get better. I think if someone has a career of 30+ years of building cars, and those are PROMOD cars? I'm just going to say they are doing it correctly. I did maching for a few years out of high school, and I was amazed that one of our mill guys could look at a bolt and tell me the thread... or how they could listen to a machine run and tell me about tool wear. Just some things time teaches folks that can't be taught.

    I'm a bridge guy at work, and one thing we do to strengthen the tension zones of concrete strectures (beams and columns) is we epoxy carbon fiber to the concrete. Wonder if something like that could be done to high tension areas of these cages without adding a bunch of weight. Like wrapping the tubes with carbon fiber. You could do a simple bend test, one bare tube of steel and one with carbon fiber and see if it can take more pressure.

    I am just going to go out on a limb and say that I am thinking he is doing Pro Charger possibly dual chargers. The reason is he has done the TT deal and with this build he's doing a lot of first times for him. The second reason I think this is if the other car you are working on is a nitrous car but also a '69 the front end of Cleets chassis has trusses and looking at other photos of pro charged cars in your webpage cover, those have trusses, and they end right about where the fuel cell is on his car. That and it may just be perspective, but Cleets car looks a little longer in the front than the other '69 it is definitely beefed up more than the other car when they were at the same or close to stage of the chassis build. Not to mention he said during the motor build he didn't plan on hitting high rpm. I could be wrong; he could be doing compound turbos for all I know. Just my guess. What's the chances I could get one of those sweet shirts at a discount if I am right. Seeing if he really reads all his comments. 😏 Either way you guys are killing it.

    Interesting and enjoyable video. Always wondered how a car was moved off and on a table jig. No doubt, these guys at CJRC know what they’re doing.

    Another great video , thank you !
    Few questions, suggestion, and comments:
    What’s behind the wood wall next to the jig?
    Maybe it’s time for a bridge crane to swap cars around may save time.
    Can we get a video how CJRC actually came into being? How did it all start?
    How about a detailed video on the chassis jig, how it was made and materials used?

      We do industrial fabrication on the other side of the wall. Lot of stuff for Disney and others like that.

    I know it's a big expense but you *need* an overhead crane! The chassis moving would be so much easier and safer.

    Stress build up in chassis is unavoidable. A mate growing up raced carts and they would bolt the chassis into a jig and stress relieve the joints with a propane torch to extend its life.

    Cameron, I'm an engineer and always see things from a standpoint of is there possibly a better or easier way to complete a task.
    I noticed you guys using the fork lift to move cars off the jig to stands.
    What if you had stands on casters with a width adjustment like outriggers that could straddle the entire jig. Then have a crane over each jig with soft traps or a lifting jig that slides under the car with bars that stick out with "D" rings or lifting tabs. Heck it don't have to be a lifting jig it could be 2 long bers with pool noodles zip tied to them to slide under the car to hook to.
    Just an idea, I know the forklift works and you you guys are used to it.
    But making the lifting bars or lifting jig and adjustable stands would be easy for you guys.
    You'll always see me comment ideas. I'm the one who commented about wheel tub liners. lol. Maybe one day I'll see one of my ideas used in the shop!

With the little bit of cage cert talk, I'd love to know more about what all the numbers mean because they change wildly and would clear some confusion up.

    It's no secret that it will be twin turbo. The 2 throttle bodies gave it away

      A lot of procharged cars have twin throttle body.

    • @Im_Old_Gregg
      @Im_Old_Gregg Před měsícem

      @@victorbitter583 I don't think I've ever seen that. How does that work? The procharger only has one outlet for charge pipe I dont know why you would put a Y in that pipe to disrupt the airflow. Doesn't make sense to me if that's a thing

    • @Im_Old_Gregg
      @Im_Old_Gregg Před měsícem

      @@victorbitter583 I did find some online. That interesting I've never noticed that before. It seems like just one big throttle body would cause less air turbulence but Im no engineer. It doesn't look like there's room in front of the motor for the gear drive and procharger either though. And the fuel tank would be right in front of the Inlet.
