  • In the desert sands of Saqqara, the latest hotspot of Egyptian archaeology, two of the world’s most famous Egyptologists seek to unearth ancient treasures. The legendary Dr. Zahi Hawass hunts for the long-lost pyramid of a forgotten Egyptian king while his protege and rival, Dr. Mostafa Waziri, searches for an unlooted tomb in an ancient necropolis. Both teams race against the clock to see who will make the bigger discovery and make their mark in history.

It belongs to the Egyptians after all. These treasures can be loaned to the world on tours and returned home where they belong, not in a rich person's home who isn't even Egyptians. This is my opinion of any art taken from the people who deserve to have it in their own country. These guys handled objects like 5 year olds.......I was shocked at the lack of modern technique in securing and documenting. Alot of it looked staged also.
I've always been skeptical of Zahi as a tomb raiding crook but a part of me feels it is possible he is simply trying to preserve Egypt's finds for Egypt , the way it should be.

In a way, it's good. Spineless, but they give you options.

Netflix I'm begging you. Please give us the continuation to this documentary. This is a cliffhanger. You should, at least, compensate for what you've done to Cleopatra.
