i met stephen king in houston in 1987. he was at a book store promoting his mentor's latest book. you had to buy the book to get steve's autograph. i shook his hand and told him, "mr. king, i came here to tell you i think you're great!" he stood up, picked me up in a bear hug, and twirled me around. it was great!
Huge Stephen King fan, never seen this before. Thanks for sharing!!

Same here!

Ditto!! Pretty cool 😎
If it were not for King movies life would be dull love this stuff

nikki Fairall u need to get out more lol
@@skygazer6898 love to just hard to do as a single middle aged woman trying just to keep the roof over my head
@@nikkifairall2518 Why not join a club Nikki, that is what a work colleague did when she was on her own after a divorce with no family. She never looked back, in fact, she does a heap lot more than me. I am not saying it's not tough Nikki as I am in a similar position to you but there is a whole world out there just waiting for someone like you. Good luck
Skygazer what kind of club cause I am new to the internet and still unsure what I am doing
Another Nerdy Movie Fact: This is not the first movie Stephen King incorporates the nail biting experience of being forced to cling to a ledge on a high rise... Remember "Cat's Eye"?
yes
And the series was filmed in Australia, not in the States, as some might believe.
Cats eye lol ... turd on a ledge and same actor aka the casino big boss who forced the wimp on his penthouse top floor ledge... same actor who played in Stephen King's IT
I read the book.
I was like 7 or 8 yrs old for cats eye and troll the movie
I've got nearly every one of King's books but Nightmares and Dreamscapes is one I come back to. Crouch End, Rainy Season, The 10 O'Clock People, You Know They Have a Hell of a Band etc..awesome stories👌
best use of none dialogue perhaps ever- none, no dialogue just scene and music. as a surrealist painter this is the top list of background to adhere too!
Check out "The Naked Prey" (w/ Cornel Wilde; late 1950s, color)....it's a no-dialogue (other than some Zulu and English for the first 4 or 5 minutes) chase/survival movie. no chit-chat necessary.....
Army men and Legos - the bane of every barefoot parent. That man can make anything scary AF! And I love him for it! 😱
The absence of dialogue only adds to the awWwsomeneSs! 👍😍
someone else noticed!!!!rad
I’m a big fan of Stephen King also, but found it “odd”, and had asked myself at 9:32 when he didn’t thank the stewardess after the wine was handed to him, doesn’t he speak? No one was speaking, I almost stopped watching. I have seen a couple of silent films, from the 20’s. It would not be a Stephen King movies if it wasn’t odd.
Talking you mean
A nod to Karen Black's homicidal fetish doll from "Trilogy of Terror".
totally
That lil thing scared me silly!!
Yes. I was hoping I was not the only one who caught that.😀
I was scrolling the comments to see who else spotted it on the shelf. As soon as I saw it I knew what was gonna happen.
I would have left the condo, pronto. It wouldn't have even gotten to the helicopters.
yes, me too... but he thought he could overdo such a small army and get rid of them in no time... What he should have done was to throw away that last little brat far out of the lift, maybe he could have been the winner in the end...
😉😎
I honestly do not remember this series. Had to have been on during my years of working 2nd shift and never watching TV. Thanks for this. You have a new sub.
U should look up......
Outer Limits....comes in blk and wht and in color.
Tales from the Crypt
Tales from the Darkside

Sweet! do you have the other episodes as well?
Complete and Total Awesomeness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Love Steven King!!!!
I forgot what this was called. My wife and I were talking about it a few days ago, then it shows up in recommended...ok.
Thanks for uploading.
Spooky how that happens....
Watch The Great Hack on CZcams... THAT'S Spooky !!
i dont know why i find this hilarious
The Irony? The bully loses, --he's killed many and kept trophies and a dead man comes back to get him...
Or cuz it's Freakin' Hilarious to think about it and what we would do if it happened to us?
I would have eventually ran screaming like a child, my voice so high as I screamed, crystal would break.
Thank you Stephen King, absolutely one of my all time favorites.
The silence in this is deafening . Adds to the fear factor .
They tore this man's butt up! Lol
I can see the marijuana induced imagination of King here very vividly
This guy really could have used a can of hairspray and a lighter good movie thanks for the upload
I love his books, and movies... such a great mind. Genius with a ink and paper.
Great special effects. I think I saw this one years ago b'cz I recalled bits and pieces of it.....no pun intended...lol🤣😂
Wow this is Stephen King at his best of course with a great actor William Hurt I just love it !!!!!
My favorite episode of this series was the golfer that was paralyzed by a snake bite. He was alive during his own autopsy. Pure nightmare fuel.
Thanks for the re-upload. CZcams took down the first copy i saved to watch later.
This is what I envisioned as a kid what my vast armies of plastic men would do when I wasn't looking.... If I saw this in 1988 I don't think I would have played with them anymore after that.... Or i would have set them up in a persons house who I didn't like :)
It's a bad terminology it should have been said of whom I did not did not like
@@benlee913 lol
I have never seen this one!!! I love how the toys we're fighting back
Check out movie..Toy Soldiers
strange story; it's like toy story stephen king's style. No dialogues, but it kept me glued to it from start to end.
This guy is getting back what he did to the owner of the toy store.
That's some F'ed up shit. lol Great show!!! It reminds me of Trilogy of Terror with Karen Black. That scared the Hell out of me when it came out. lol Even had the doll on top of his trophy case. :)
I was wondering if anyone else noticed that doll there! Loved that movie too!
@@fallaway1982 I noticed it right away. lol
@@fallaway1982 Sorry this is my other CZcams lol I thought i was on my regular one.
@@fallaway1982 BTW this is Lisa Hermanator lol
Me Too! As a child I had nightmares about her attack doll for weeks!
Heck, brought it up every Halloween for 6 or 7 years too. Wonder if I'd find it scary now? Heck I'm embarrassed to admit Peter Cushing vampire movies still scare the child in me.
This is so extraordinairy good, long live the King.
Wow what a Payback Battle!! Kool movie thanks for the post! Those little soldiers were so cute.
And he never once thought to just make a run for the front or back door, instead of running to the bathroom and all over the place!😄
from his book, nightshift, this one of the short stories in it...its great to see they made a film of it, william hurt plays so well, he dosent say one word..toy guy is from madmax..bruce spence
Sooo Freakin'Awesome!!
As a teenager I read this story. I could see it all in my mind's eye. It was just like this mini-movie! I couldn't wait to see it as a Movie. 20 yr.s later..
Thank you so much for this, Stephen King, and whom ever allowed me to see it again. I only saw a single time.
If I can get this entire series of tv "dream scapes" I will. (Purchasing them)
Yes I have to agree with you. How many videos are there for this show?
Brilliant!! You don't miss it till you find it😆😆. That toy maker was creepy anyway.😨
Ima 8 epizoda, biće okačene sve, uđi kod mene na profil na playliste i tu će biti, pošto će biti uploadovane sa drugog kanala.
Brilliant episode love William Hurt one of my favorite actor thank you for this awesome gem😘
When they showed that Zuni fetish doll at 15:02 I knew William Hurt was in for a tough time.
Great special effects. Thumbs up

Tales from the Darkside
Friday the 13th, the series
U can find them in my public playlist also
Same here ! If I hadn't stumbled onto this site , I wouldn't have known this series even existed . Also a Big Stephen King fan .
Loved the soldiers. So cute
I remember the old TV show The Darkroom hosted by James Coburn, which also had a take on this story.
12:30 and still no dialogue. Excellent use of facial expressions and music as storytelling tools
Thanks 🙏 so much for presenting this episode. Epic! I have the audio book of Stories from Night Shift. They are both excellent!
Nerdy Horror Movie Fact: Around the 15 minute point, William Hurt opens his trophy cabinet. The camera pans upwards revealing a very ugly primitive figurine, which was a nod to "The Trilogy of Terror" starring Karen Black. (foreshadowing? ;) )
And the actor Bruce Spence of The Road Warrior portrayed the toymaker...
Gunga Galunga Hey Captain Obvious we know all this....moron.
@@billyray5232 Figured I'd just point it out....moron....
BIlly Ray why you unfriendly parasite.
@@iamaten2719 Why are you under the impression you are even worthy to leave me a comment?
If my toys would attack me I´ll be screwed.
Typical Stephen King fare - captivating and brilliantly executed (pardon the pun!). He really is the KING 👑!!!

Love it .I never seen this before.
Thanx for posting this. Super cool!
Thanks for the upload hororTV.
Are there other episodes of nightmares and dreamscape without talking?
Odd movie but then again Stephen King is very different 🇺🇸🇺🇸
The story Battleground is from Night Shift, not Nightmares and Dreamscapes.
Been a long time since I’ve seen this one. Loved it
slick and funny
I knew this one will be great seeing who the lead actor in the movie is
William Hurt
This is Great! Loved it!!
Why can’t I find the rest of the episodes?
Dude if William Hurt just wore a wig and had a spray tan, he could totally play Trump. Or is it just me?
It’s you?🤫🤫🤫
william hurt, he's had a very difficult life. respect
Da li če biti ostale epizode?
This first episode of Nightmares and Dreamscapes reminds of two horror movies. Trilogy of Terror and The Twilight zone space man episode. Stephen King took it to a another level. This was terrifying, scary and fun. It took on a rollercoaster ride action pack thriller wow. I almost thought the guy had defeated his horror toy enemies but in the end the solo hulk green man terrorist got him with the bomb.
You saw the doll from Trilogy of Terror too. She cooked that doll in the oven. How does he have it? The magic of television.
Saw this a long time ago and was my favorite out the lot
Always remembered that pool!
Never been a fan of long introductions.
Stephen King must have a lot going on in his mind.
I have some of his books and have many of his movies but not this one !! Is there more ???
I just had a suggestion, while watching this with others try not to speak, not one word.🥴
it would help if we had the choice of translation with the into do we know whats the film is about. Love Stephen King ^_^
Never saw this video before I
brilliant wat a fantastic film! im suprised i aint heard of or seen it before as i do like stephen king more his movies than books as i aint much of a reader or book worm lol so theres no words for this film litterally lol for me in my i think its some of his best work!
Pa slab je nešto odaziv, ne znam da li da kačim još. :)
never even heard of these, better than game of thrones...?
i enjoyed it
WTF did I just watch!
I read the book but I still do not get it.
@@wendybusby9415 LOL! The dreamer I just woke up from was better than this movie! LOL
I should think when King wrote this story he had in mind the old Twilight Zone Episode wherein Agnes Morehead was an old lady living in a remote prairie shack is attacked by these small men in space suits. They do their best to kill her during the show until she's driven to the roof upon which time she eventually kills all the creatures and destroys their space ship. At the end you hear one of the dying men in space suits sending a transmission back to his superiors telling them there are giants where they are at and they can't defeat them. Slowly the camera pans to the side of the spaceship and you read the words there on display. They read US Air Force. This reminds of that program because there is no dialogue during the whole show save but for Morehead making painful exclamations as Hurt does in this. The only difference is Morehead survived whereas Hurt doesn't.
Roy Merritt Ever heard of SPOILER? 😑
Damn u said everything
Now I gotta look up that TZ episode.
@@RubabJaffery_CuteSagittarius Late response of course, but you should have watched it before me and it wouldn't have been a spoiler for you. And pray tell if they didn't want people comments about the show then they wouldn't contain them. And they fact they have them means they should have anticipated someone commenting such as me and perhaps given a spoiler comment. And if you don't want to read spoilers then maybe you shouldn't read the comments. Besides you only read them to see if the video was worth watching. Beyond all that its free, so you ain't out no money now are you. And what did you expect that the villain might triumph? That hardly ever happens and if you are a King fan like myself you would have read the short story. I've read most of King's stuff and even though I know the outcome of most of his books and stories I still watch many of the movies based on them. And they, the cinematic version, usually have the same outcome as the literature with only a few variations.
Is this any good ? I will give it a try
This happened to me once but lucky for me I had an entire regiment 1800 strong that mobilized and out flanked the enemy...they didn't have a chance;)
Stephen King sucks.. sucks you right into the story! See that word play there?
+Simon0 Oh, you are fucking Shakespeare reborn.
Shakespeare pales compared to you.
Genius.
I didn't see that coming.....simply brilliant Simon0.
No,I missed it.Sure am glad you said "See that word play there?"! 😑😒
Vintage KIng! from his 1st and best anthology. New what was going to happen, loved every minute of it. A very good adaption of a very good King story; a rare commodity. Yes I know it's from Night Shift. They cant title the series after every anthology they drew from.
I wish they would redo this series
Never knew this existed
Stephen King my his my number one fan
LOL I really enjoyed this. Wow one actor without saying a word pulled it off :) what a ride!
Nancy Cisneros ...I do not understand what you mean??
Sandra Brott
Me neither!
