- The Haunting of Marsten Manor is a supernatural mystery (NOT a horror) about
Jill (Brianne Davis), a girl angry about being blind and struggling with her faith.
When she inherits her aunt's house, unnerving things start happening there. Her friends (Breanne Davis, Ken Luckey, Christine Woods) become concerned about her sanity, leaving her feeling even more isolated and under the spell of the house. But when Jill disappears, it’s too late for her friends to stop what is already in motion. The ghost (Julie Sapp) that brought Jill to the house and a soldier from the past (C. Watching January 2021...a good movie, didn’t expect it to end like that, it’s a beautiful message that no matter what changes you go through in life never see yourself different and keep helping others

Our disabilities don't need to be our downfall, and we don't need to be a victim of our disabilities. I think that's what she meant when she said "she didn't care about that. She only cared about me" she showed her she didn't have to let her disability or her circumstances keep her from being a whole person, being successful, happy or making a difference in this world.
I like this movie. Ive watched it several times. I'm assuming not a lot of money was spent to make it. The acting was good, I thought. ❤😊😊😊

It started off like it was going to have a completely different plot but then the movie ended with a heartwarming realization for Jill to never be afraid. Very good movie. Thank you for uploading.
Talk about hidden gems. Such a simple movie but interesting. I wasn't going to watch this at first because someone in the comments said it was a love story. When in comes to movies that's the last thing I want to watch watch. Glad I changed my mind..it would have been my loss. I love CW HOWELL...I always seem to like his movies. Glad you watched it. I try not to listen to ppl comments bcuz where one may hate it I could love it and you too or we could have agreed with them. Some love stories are dramatic I don't like that either but they're some love stories that are also action or scary don't miss out just cuz it love story you'll be able to tell right off what type love story it is. Like Bonnie and Clyde it's a love story or the Mexican it's based on love story but it's action it's in English the name is actually a gun in the movie
Omgoooooodness 😢😢😢😢😢 made me cried this story... In life we all have our ups & downs, we all judge others & but we judged ourselves even more & harder!!! We show love & get love... Every struggles & battles yet we intended to neglected ourselves more than others!!!
So sorry, Julie. I am beginning to think suicide is a demon like alcoholism. I've been fighting suicide most of my life. I beat alcoholism, but, these suicidal thoughts are far more intense than alcohol craving ever was. I have to keep reading about folks like yourself who are left behind, and how bad you hurt. It helps me resist when those urges are so intense. Keep making the movies. Keep making people like me think. Love.
@Samuel Black To acknowledge this is helpful. I tried to overdose and pulled through everytime, I had a rope i was hanging from come unknotted. But the most frightened I've ever been in my life was when I pulled the trigger on a loaded 357 magnum and it misfired! How did the perfect gun misfire!!! I was so scared, I've never attempted anything else, someone was calling the shots and it wasn't me. But, you are correct, it's always there; when driving, when using knives, etc. When I see widows like Julie, I'm horrified at myself. Disappointed in myself. Loathing myself. Then cycle starts all over.
@Samuel Black I completely understand. "We all have bad days, snap out of it'' how I detested that saying! I fight to try to 'want' to live. I don't how to 'snap out' of this. So, I live a life of mostly solitude.

One of the better entries of recent years, good performances and production values, and a SOLID PLOT, something sorely lacking in most horror films '80s to present.
i loved this movie. famial love where our ancestors look over us even today with love and compassion to teach us needed life lessons. beautifully done and acted a must see.
Truly unique movie. Not horror after all. Actors are good. Never read or saw a story like this b4. I do recommend.

Insidious and the conjuring is some of horror movies that I like..so I will try this..much better than the fallen I think..

I was ready for a good scary movie and was surprised to find a movie about love and family l. The ending was awesome and totally clean no ads to see, no blobs, no sex, it was aweso. Anymore movies like this one please tell me.

@@bridgetlarson5443 yes it's very beautiful here. Many mountains and lakes. Unfortunately we don't have the sea but it's only about an hour away to New Hampshire which does have my favorite ocean spot. The people here are very friendly and laid back. I love it here 🙂

The mansion is late Victorian . The American Civil War was mid Victorian . The house was built about thirty years after the war .
I noticed that too -- glad to find another architectural history buff in these benighted times
watched it again and got more. this is a story of a family that stuck together. the acting was superb. even the confederate soldiers were great. please do another movie.

Wow I thought this movie was going to be another one of those cornball horror movies, but I was so wrong on so many amazing levels. The love and the passion of this movie kept me on the edge of my seat. 5 stars hands down. OBP

I found this to be more of drama and a love story. Thanks for the upload, its definitely a gem to watch❣️❣️👍👍
This was a decent film, in a direct-to-video kind of way. It stayed away from nudity and gore and had a somewhat positive ending. The acting was competent and the cinematography and sound were good. Plus, the acting was good for the most part. Also, the Civil War aspect of the storyline added a unique touch. All-in-all, a good film. I'd give it a 7/10.

I knew after the beginning this movie was going to be very moving. This movie is different from any i have watched. A haunting mysterious movie with a biblical insight, what a combination.
I love the spiritual experience and awakening this girl had to have, thanks to a great aunt and a great Higher Power. This was really cool. Enjoyed this, thanks guys!
I'll bet every lawyer who watched the beginning cringed at that jerk.
I spoke to a couple of lawyers before. The first one was quite polite. He was legal aid. The second one was 300 per consultation, He wasn't so polite. He was a little ruder than the one in this. Also, he didn't apologize for his behavior. So, yeah some real life lawyers are jerks. Not all of them.... I would guess.
Lawyers are partly if not mostly psychopaths.

I agree with similar comments below; it was very refreshing to see a modern movie with a good script, no gratuitous nudity (actually none at all) or gore (very little blood), and with a lovely story to tell 🤗

This is a great movie, AND YES WE ALL KNOW EVERYONE IS STAYING AT HOME, I MEAN THIS IS COMMON PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE RIGHT NOW! Anyway, the movie is about a Blind girl inheriting her aunt's house, the blind girl and her boyfriend and best friend are staying in the house for the weekend, the blind girl starts seeing images of a woman wearing a HOT ASS looking dress, but anyway, the plot is really slow and this is something that won't scare the pants off of you, back to the story, the woman is trying to communicate with the blind girl, The blind girl's best friend thought the boyfriend was trying to scare the blind girl but they too also started seeing the same images, but the image they saw was confederate soldiers bullying a servant and her child. To make a long story short, I guess the aunt was trying to let they asses know that her body was in the attic and has been for quite some time. The blind girl discovered her body and that was the end. Sorry for the typos and grammatical errors, im just trying to give some info on what this movie is about. If you are looking for jump scares, then this movie is not for you!

I loved this movie. I expected some B-rated horror movie but it was unexpected and brilliant. Please do watch it, it's so worth it. I've often found myself thinking about the plot elements and "lessons" in the years since I first saw it. It's wonderful.

For a cheaper horror movie...that was pretty good....and the story line was good as well. I'm so tired of the zombie/slasher/tween vampire movies. It's time for good old fashion horror or creepy movies again!!

I really enjoyed this movie. While the acting initially was amateurish, it got better. The story line held me captive - it’s a good solid plot with a great ending. It’s a classic ghost story that was not overly intense!
Kate has the absolute best morals. It is really too bad that more people can't follow her example! And her house really awesome. Built to last a lifetime.
Everyone has stuff and sins. Nobody is faultless or perfect. We all try til we die. 😊God knows we are human and probe to mistakes.

First thing I noticed about the old photo in the Bible... It is a photo of Rose Greenhow and her daughter while she was imprisoned in a Federal prison for being a spy for Confederates during Civil War. She was known as "Rebel Rose". Thanks for the video! ❤
