Destiny 2 OOB: The Witness Boss Arena from Patrol

- We've gone to nearly the beginning of the campaign. This time we go to the end.
Rythm found you could get all the way to the end with just a little bit of barrier push. It's likely possible on all classes, but easiest on Titan, especially with Code of the Missile. You don't have to worry much about charge time since it'll likely be charged by the time you manage to reach the spot anyways...
We've got three sections of oobing, with some lengthy in map traversal inbetween. But that traversal can be confusing if you're not in mission, so I've left it in, sped up of course.
Thanks to ItAvvy, Elite Eater of Crayons, Rythm, and Zoratul for help with the exploration. We've managed to get the route pretty nice. There's lots of other things to see as well if you take a detours along the way.

The Iconoclasm "climbing the tower" section was one of my favourite parts of the campaign, and I loved the areas in that mission in general, so I was bummed out when it was all locked off in patrol. Nice to know I can still get back there though, even if theres no enemies etc!
@@MattMcloughlin fr, i also thought it felt like OOBing haha. i mentioned to my friends it felt like we were rats scurrying through the walls
A little update - it's possible to simply slide into the arena from the top without dropping into a cage. You can keep using mountaintop to push yourself over the lips.

I wonder if the green, yellow, and red sections of the Witness's arena are directly related to the Pyramidal, Spherical, and Hexahedronal resonances matching those colors in Salvation's Edge.
@@rpotts probably not, the pyramid/darkness tileset has a LOT of like, jade, amber, and resin materials as far back as witch queen. i wouldnt rule it out, but theyve been using those colors for a lot for a while.
More likely they share a common source for meaning.

I found my way to the door just before the boss arena a few times, accidentally originally, and I have always wondered if there was a way to actually get into the boss arena, glad to know there is and I will be trying this with Hunter.
Might need two supers to make it, but definitely doable.
I literally today was trying to get there the path we explored together.
It's really annoying and weird that these areas are not available when the rest of the pale heart areas are open. After the campaign we were supposed to have full access to the map but for some reason we don't...

@@Falconer5752 the lore tab for Euphony describes how the dread language was translated using a rune "in the pale heart" like a rosetta stone, and so far, no one has found that rune.

A friend and I were incredibly close to achieving this, though we ran out of tricks for it before giving up. However, we did find that end balcony for a very nice screenshot - and, also, found out that doing it IN the campaign mission makes it glitch out and, later, no longer slow / damage you at all after you finish the boss fight!
2:30 I wonder if the prismatic chest is still hidden in that hallway if it hasn't been grabbed from the mission

you can easily blink through the push back to skip the big running around part towards the end
I so want to get to that place where all the statues are located when you go through the portal at the end.
@@OutOfWards I'll be looking for an IRB route for that at some point. Hopefully we can find a way in without needing to witherhoard breach.
I managed to make it all the way to the closed door. I looked all around that hole where the prismatic chest is I can't believe I missed that.
I missed it too, though I did find a hole you had to like stasis melee through. But the hole in the vid is much nicer.

Where the blocked entrance in Impasse is, on the other side you can jump over some rocks and fall below the turnback, then just blow yourself up when you hit the load zone. All areas are open up to the blocked off exit in Transgression (why this exit is even there, idk)

Titans: outclassed in DPS and support, but best in class for OOB
Titan wins for comfort/ease of use, but there's not much a Tian can do now that a properly equipped Hunter can't, but there's plenty in the other direction. That said, I'll still be using Titan where it works ;)
Also Warlocks get their solo Gpools XD
Is the area where you destroy the statues accessible? I'm assuming its in the load zone.
It can be reached. It's not terribly pleasant though. To get inside, you'd either have to IRB or witherhoard breach in after infinite sparrow flying after a syncbox. Rythm probably has a vid for it, I know he's done it. I'll look for an IRB route at some point... My next vid will probably be Pale Heart IRB related.
How have you been liking using the hover boards?
They're like easy mode for sparrows with glitches, but they do have some drawbacks. They can be clunkier to maneuver, and they don't seem to let you sparrow breach in quite the same way. But Quantum Skimmers are so good XD
I'd say sparrows are definitely better if you know your way around them, but skimmers are much easier to deal with.
Definitely looks possible with Strand Warlock up until that side room at the end. Do you think there's any way to get through that small gap at the top?
On Warlock you probably want to try to strand super over the top of the wall before dropping down. I don't know if Warlock has anything to fit through narrower gaps. Maybe blink? But regular blink can be a pain to work with.

I wish :'( Raid starts in an entirely separate space. Plus they do that loadzone disabling now...

@@Zullo_ i think the only two raids in a patrol instance is d1 vog and DSC if you want to try getting to patrol on those raids d1 vog not D2 vog

Hi, I have issues with navigator flying I've seen in your videos. I swap between 2 navigators but the debuff remains, so I can't chain grapple points. Am I missing something ?
i think if you touch the ground it activates the gordian knot cooldown? froggy mentioned that in the recent insight terminus video. i think the proper cycle is hold r > shoot knot > start grapple > swap navigators while mid-grapple > repeat
Yup. Gotta jump before you shoot off the grapple, or you gotta wait out the first 30 seconds.

good video i found a sparrow breach to get passed all the ads and can get all the way to maelstrom
I try to avoid sparrow breaches when possible. They can be a pain :/
Dismount breaches are fine though. (Referring to the dismount itself putting you out of map, vs physics shenanigans from collision with terrain and the sparrow)

I found a different oob right next to the final door
The narrow one up top? If that's the case, we were using that one before, but it requires a smaller hitbox to get through, so you gotta stasis melee, out a crystal to crouch through, or something like that.
I meant the one to get to The Maelstrom
if you jump to the right of the entrance to the building with the locked trapdoor, you can find a hole that drops you right on top of the underground path, and if you follow that cave you die and get loaded into the Maelstrom area
Ah. Yeah, there's loads of holes around there. Sounds like a useful one.
