Some museums, taxidermy communities sometimes get dead animals from reserves, like, a Pet Fox breeder, if any of their foxes dies by any natural means, they might give the body upon request, or autorization. Taxidermy is where taxidermist perverve the skin etc. of dead animal corposes and stuff them. In a nutshell from what I know. And place wire and other materials in them for them to hold their place etc. Personally I think it's morally wrong like there are other ways to capture "life" and create statues without the use of animal products especially those that aren't cruelty-free.
The mount is impressive. HOW ABOUT YOU JUST PAINT IT OR ADD FLAUX FUR TO IT INSTEAD OF A DEAD CORPOSE. Let them rest in peace. Humans ban taxidermist work on humans and they still let it done to other species and inviduals of other animals.
Also, we didn't ban it to my knowledge. Human skin is too thin and fragile to tan and mount. However, you can donate your body to science, where they can do whatever they please- fill your veins, keep your skin, etc. If you have a problem, do something about it elsewhere. Donate to a cause. Or do some research. You might just find that this animal was legally tagged to further help the economy and their conservation.
it's just a body lol it doesn't feel or think about anything at that point. this IS a way to honor the animal there has been attempts at preserving humans in the past like this but its never worked out so well. we still have wet samples of human body parts, bones we can buy and ashes we can keep

It's real. They skin dead animals and put their skin over a plastic mold.
