I will probably just leave it alone tbh. I use the command prompt a fair bit (I switched from Linux to WIndows for my coursework and Uni purposes) I thought powershell was just like running CMD at a sudo/admin level, allowing deeper access and abilities. I am looking for a Linux terminal emulator for Windows 10 without doing a full install through the app store. I run various Linux distros on this laptop but live versions via USB. This is a bit too much faffing around just to use a Linux terminal (i basically have to reboot to run Linux OS offa USB)
Why aren't there things like text-based IRC clients popular for PowerShell? That's kind of a big part of what I miss when running Windows without any VM or anything within Windows.. it's the command line esp on a machine like this with only 4GB of ram.
I have no idea what this is I came here just because I’m trying to find out why I just had 100 windows powershell opening on my computer when I’ve literally never heard of it.. just tons of boxes opening up saying windows powershell. Faster than I can close them. Why is this happening what is going on?

Is there anyway I can reset my computer using this there's a admin set a long time ago and it is screwing up my laptop and I need to find a way to get it removed
Hey Don - this is a great primer for someone like me , starting to have some fun with Powershell. Would you be able to help me with a code to change the creation and modified dates for a particular document?
That would completely defeat the whole point of non repudiation and would be a liability to anyone with the script. I'm sure there's something out there for that but I'd highly suggest you refrain from doing so.

Power shell and cmd are close but Power shell is used for server managment
powershell is CMD on steroids.
