I first heard this score a long time ago when I was listening to my father's old vinyl collection. I believe it was one of the "100 Strings" compilations so it wasn't a complete album. After some difficulty I tracked down the Ernest Gold CD and fell in love with it
Fantastic music. Composers rarely score a film feature this way anymore, Raine and the Prague Philharmonic has revived it's epic styling most beautifully.
