For the last 2 years i kept this show in my libarary list hoping one day i would start it. But never did until last week now i finished season 5 and i watched so many fucking shows but never watched this and never knew that this scene was the most hard scene in my whole life i mean i didnt even expire a scene like this one in my real life and every time i listen to this soundtrack i hold my tears...... One of the best shows i have ever seen and the most saddest ever...
This scene hurt my heart. His life was so simple and nice before he became hungry for more. Lagertha, in her most beautiful and pure form, beckoning him to come back.... It's shit like that that causes man-tears.
He never became hungry. Like he said, " I did not became earl because I aspired to be one. It came about other people's action. And I did not become king out of ambition. But once again I had no choice. As a result of other people's actions. But nonetheless, I am king. King Ragnar!"
+Oğuz Işık yes my friend you are right... This is now my favorite show ever being what it stands for... Ragnar was a man and he was open minded as they come
His life was marked by Gods. How the great man could live happily? Through his suffering we remember him to this day. For Nordics and Slavic people the Fame and Glory were more valuable than happiness. Unlike today ..
“The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a man’s determination” The best ever scene i have ever watched in a tv-Serie - from Denmark 🇩🇰
I'm only just watching Vikings, and saw this scene last night. I cannot tell you how the music and the scene together hit me like no other series/movie has hit me before. It's a small masterpiece.
***** ...I'm speechless. Is it opposite day for you? The first part of the season was, from a critical standpoint, not good. I wanted it to be good, but it wasn't.
Agreed, Game Of Thrones just didn't have that feeling of emotion and family in the mix with the action. (And they didn't even have to add porn like HBO) Vikings just had a better soundtrack, better emotion, and didn't have so much controversy like GOT.
Hands down best track on Vikings. Not the epic ones, no this subtle and emotional one gets me every time. Ragnar's death, Ecberts death, Ragnar remembering his family....
The times they use this theme are so well planned. When his people are told of his death, when his family leaves him, and when he sees the vision of the his one true desire.
Ive watched the show a few times, and EVERY damn time this scene comes up honestly I choke up a little, music is a powerful tool, and this song so greatly shows the absolute regret Ragnar feels, what he has lost, and I feel he hates himself for it, hes so torn between wanting and loving all of his sons vs, Loving Lagertha, his true love... I dont believe he ever truly loved Aslaug.
His death came without apology that's for sure.. but I think he owns a huge explaination to his sons that he could never provide with anymore because he is dead. He left them guessing and wondering why their father practically committed suicide, and they can only guess. Perhaps he didn't have the heart of a true, ruthless and powerful leader like Ivar his son has, he had the heart of a true man and his leadership ended because people stopped fearing him and admiring the great ragnar lothbrok, he became a leader because luck was on his side for a long time and he died because he couldn't contain and carry the guilt and the burden of being a king, of being a leader. Atleast he had the eyes and the wit to see a true leader in his son Ivar.
This IS better show than GoT. It might not have the same production value and budget... But not once have GoT gave me tears or feels. This show has, multiple times.
The anthem of my regrets, of having hurt the only one who ever loved me, the only one I genuinely loved. But like Ragnar I left her for another, for just a moment, now she's far away and I'll probably never see her again... I didn't even had to chance to tell her goodbye..
WARNİNG SPOİLERSSS!!!!!!1 kendi isteğiyle değildiki ama adam sadece ingiltereye baskın istiyodu reyis onu öldürmeye çalışınca adam reyisi öldürdü ve reyis oldu adam kral olmayı istemiyodu ama kral horik kaşındı adamda onu öldürdü kral oldu
This scene reminded me of how much this show has gone downhill since season 1. That's not to say I don't like it anymore - I love the show still. However, season 1 was perfect.
"Sad scene"...?
"in my mind I wish I never left the farm"
If regret could have an anthem, this would be it.
The scene with this song hit the feels pretty hard not gonna lie

this scene was better than the whole 4 th season so far
Actually. I've never seen so much pointless filler in a show before. What a drop off from season 2 and 3. Hope that it gets better.
Daryl Dixon that's not an excuse to make the first quarter of the season practically unwatchable
***** ...I'm speechless. Is it opposite day for you? The first part of the season was, from a critical standpoint, not good. I wanted it to be good, but it wasn't.
This was the scene that made Vikings better than Game of Thrones.

Whatsbthentrack name pleaaaaaaaaaz
This music is so heart touching, will made any one cry😭
Heartbreaking moment :(
the best of sad musics
A king with much more power and wealth misses his earlier simple and happy life among beloved family and friends
It is often the way
Fuck aslaug
ValarMorghulis He did
You're wrong, my friend. Aslaug is only one of the parts of his immoderated ambition.😉
Lagertha is literally more beautiful than Aslaug
He yearned for more sons and Aslaug gave him that
literally squeezed my heart
Still the greatest soundtrack I have ever heard for invoking emotion
So beautiful. That's all life is about.
One must always sacrifice something to obtain an other.
Anyone else here in 2020 hittin the feels
If i ever was there, i would never had to let you feel pain, lonely or lost, king ragnar 🖤
