If you cry over someone who passed away ,when you think about them, that's true love for that person. Stat was super talented.
Ok
@@4Bang9Gang something he said? you are strange
I get what you sayin but you don’t always have to cry to show you genuinely miss and love someone
@@Sleezmania52 some people are naturally like that like i had a friend and he been gone 2yrs and i still get messed up about him like when one of my family members bring him up i gotta leave the room like I’ll laugh and play it off and than get up and walk off and try to hold it in but i end up crying
FACTZZZ
Static Major deserves to be honored. He wrote a lot of hits!!!
You can feel the genuine love he had for Static.
You can through the phone?
In all honesty static deserves to be in the songwriters hall of fame he wrote a lot of hits in the 90s and 2000s

Forreeeeaaaaallllllllllllllll
Static was the shit!!! Even back when he was in the group Playa when also he was part of The Bassment crew who was under Devante Swing from Jodeci!!! Continue to Rest in Peace Static !!!!
Static Major is A LEGEND. People Need to Do There Research on his Career. Throwback Legend
FACTS AND MORE FACTS
Even here in the UK, we couldn't believe it. It was too much but Wayne never mention Mr Major. To be fair, we couldn't find how he died, what happened, why he died to quick n sudden🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🕊🕊
That hurt in his eyes, I felt in my heart. ❤️🩹 RIP Static and all our fallen soldiers whose never forgotten 💛🕊
The timing of Static's death was crazy because it was right when people were finding out who he was.
Yeah I remember as soon as I heard the song I asked who that was and ppl told me he past already
@@Tuelz... I think I had just got internet in my apartment and was on YT all day and found out in the video comment section that he had died and then I read up on who he was.
@@spainman2020 yeah ...crazy af
You’re sooo right! That song made me know who he was although he had did sooo much in his own group, Playa and writing for others. I hated to hear he passed away. 😩 he should be recognized 💯
@@Tuelz... SAME!
Static did an amazing job on Aaliyah’s last album . AMAZING. EVERY RECORD WAS ON POINT
My personal favorite album 🔥
I’m sooooo glad Static Major is being brought up! I’m mad I’m really just learning about the greatness that the group Playa was and how strong Statics pen game was. Like I would always hear Missy s/o the musicians from “the super friends” that consisted of Timbaland, Missy, Ginuwine, Aaliyah, Playa, etc. but I was hella young and didn’t know too much about Cheers To You. Now, I consistently play INFATUATED and If You’re Scared Say You’re Scared. That’s REAL r&b! 😍🔥💯👏🏾
Facts…my fav record from Cheers 2 u is Top of the World
@@DBrown-vg1fi The whole album is excellent! I-65 is my favorite, though.
@@WhimWams I like that one too…especially the bridge
It's wild how people bring up missy, timb, Aaliyah, playa, Ginuwine etc without mentioning Devante Swing from Jodeci. He literally discovered them (and Dalvin)
Ride around is a dope song by playa. It's a shame no high quality version exists.
Stat was also the genius who wrote the Genuine "Pony" record and Aaliyah "More Than A Woman", Drake's "Look What You've Done", "After Dark", I could go forever. Prayers up to the legend Stat 🕊️🙏
Damn I ain't know he did all that dat was crazy rip🙏🙏
He wrote all of them ? He wrote “Pony” ? 🤯
So he was writing real young
He was with the group Playa...crazy how he had a nice resume at such a young age and in such a short time. RIP to the legend!🙏🏽
@@user-tk7rl6hw6c yep he also wrote allot of songs for ginuwine like so anxious
Static also wrote and produced for jodeci and many other artist
Static Major was a legend all the way from the 90s RIP static 👊🏾🙏🏾
Static was a star and is a star still, we can only imagine how bright his star was about to shine. RIP to an absolute legend
I swear imagine if he had more time because my god a star
Static really gave so many artists their sound
Especially his vocal adlib samples on their trap music...
Broke my heart to see this guy break down like this.
Man I remember Lil Wayne performing Lollipop at the BET Awards and he said R.I.P to Static Major and I felt that 😢
I remember as we
I was like huh?? The song just came out
I was so confused
Wow remember that! I was standing watching it and I was like damn! I was so confused… Wayne kind of bent down and screamed out REST IN PEACE STATIC MAJOR!! first and last time I saw that performance
Smh that damn Doctor...Rip Static Major🙏🏽♥️
He was sacrificed for Lil Wayne's Success on Lollipop. Com on yall.
This dude smarter than people think .
People don’t think
Because we could care less
Not smart enough to not defraud the government of ppp loans..but carry on tho
I'm from Louisville. Stat is a legend 🕊️ Respect to Blue, dude is intelligent.
Tune in
I'm from Louisville too ✌🏾
Yesssir💯
Me 2 🕊️ RIP static!
Westend Lousville checcin in. I live in LA now but rep the ville every day, ya dig
Baby Blue is so right! 2008 was Wayne’s biggest year in music! But Major really needs his flowers. 💐Just so much talent in creating songs from the 90’s-2000 that we all love to this day. May God Bless his family!❤🕊️
Static was a huge loss to go at 33 for music 🙏 priceless contributions to absolute fire 🔥 RIP
he right, lollipop took wayne to a whole other level on the mainstream tip
Bro in tears, he’s still hurting
I met Static ......I was so excited!!! I told him I love your songs....he said which one?.....I was so excited I said All of them......but that was actually the true answer......He was cool and a hard worker ...he had drove from VA to Chicago with his girl in his range.....he performed to promote his new songs as Static Major...we hung at a small club after the show...... man it was so unexpected and went fast....but I wish I could have express more to him how much people and I loved his lyrics .. harmonys...riffs...phrasing! Was truly a blessing to get to be around him and meet him🔥🎧
Static was such an underrated producer
A lot of mfs don’t realize statics contribution to the industry behind the scenes n in the studio and even today. RIP STATIC MAJOR
Static is a true LEGEND!
Static Major had such a heavy but low key presence in many of our favorite songs. There are times where I wonder where his career would’ve taken him. May he continue to rest in peace 💛.
Even sadder that is was because of the incompetence of his hospital attendants. RIP to a very talented brother.
😡
Yup. His wife/widow did a interview on how he died. He basically bled to death internally if i remember correctly.
Sacrifice
They killed dude on purpose believe that. 33 come on now. That was definitely a sacrifice
@@k.scarfo3798 blue knows, he just can't speak on it, the hurt is from not only losing his dawg, but also know the truth about it.
Just lost my best friend Dec 3. When he got choked up thinking about that call.. I felt that ish!
Wayne went bigger then ever after lollipop he’s speaking facts
Static make that song blow up, RIP legend

Static was so underrated & hella talented.
DeVante then later Timbo’s secret weapon...
I remember bumping Lollipop just about everyday back in ‘08. Man that song was such a hit in New Orleans. You couldn’t go anywhere or drive anywhere without hearing someone bumping it. Then I heard somewhere that Static Major had passed. I remember feeling a bit sad because damn, I wish he could see how successful that song ended up being.
He left his mark though. Even though he’s gone, his music lives on. 💜
Something just didn't sit right with me when he passed, always felt like other forces were at work. That we can't see.
He's an emotional guy. I just watched him cry in another interview. He's so sweet ☺️
Not everybody’s heart is made of stone.
This song lollipop made Lil Wayne a world wide Rockstar every one embraced it static major was a genius
💐❤
Static really is apart of some of the biggest hits and artists break and revamp folks careers! Songwriter hall of fame needs to put him right up there!

Right! I heard a version on CZcams with Static singing in the background and you can’t deny that Pleasure P embodied his vocal delivery

Funny how things went up after static died, trade a friend for fame. This all a loop and still goes on
I had no idea Static Major was that major. That lollipop record is one of the biggest songs in history no doubt. May Static Major rest in Bliss.
South Africa, Johannesburg 📍
It came out of nowhere I know the vibes bro 🙏🏿
Yall knew him a static... I remember him as steve garrett... R.I.P..
Static major was killed for that crossover song he did for Wayne 😢🙏🏾

He was a sacrifice. Theres nothing deep about it
Right because Lil Wayne wasn't already the hottest rapper in the game at that point
@@cluclap ignorant.

Gone but not forgotten
One about Baby Blue, he don’t mind shedding tears. I noticed that on Love and Hip Hop…better out than in, stress kills.
Sleep well static major‼️🙏🏼
My uncle usto have lollipop before he was gone as his ring tone and died around the same age from cancer R.I.P
This brother here a real one. Met him in 04/05 and was personally friends with him. Miss chatting with. Hope to see him again soon.
RIP Static Major! 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
rest in peace static major, my favourite songwriter
The turning point in Wayne's career was the Carter 1 he came back with a whole new style and changed rap music completely after that
Some of Static Major earlier hits before Pretty Ricky/Wayne era: Ginuwine - Pony, So Anxious, Same ol G, some of his debut album and most his 2nd Album (100%Ginuwine)
Aaliyah - Try Again, Are You that Somebody, We Need a Resolution, More than a Woman, Rock the Boat (most of her 3rd Album “Aaliyah”)
Truth Hurts - Addictive
Timbaland & Magoo - Luv 2 Luv Ya etc
Damn
The soul glow residue on head of chair is legendary
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Rip Static. I was listening to aaliyah read between the lines. And hearing his voice on there.,, that man energy was magnetic.. rip legend. I wish he had more props before he passed
Lovelyti brought me here. With some good memories and accomplishments from Static Major. He made a impact and deserve recognition for what he accomplished in this life.
Mane much love and respect to devante swing for putting static on…….He always said static was just different than the rest he stood out, he put static on songs and videos early on in his career….Crazy how static has been in the industry since 93 but didn’t really start getting his shine/recognition until he did lollipop…..aside from the stuff he did with playa(by the way that playa album cheers 2 is a phenomenal album that stood the test of time s/o smoke and black)…….but yea static was more known as a writer and background vocalist from the work he did with aaliyah and ginuwine etc etc……
Fun Fact: Static wrote "Pony" for ginuwine in 1993 and three years later in 96 it came out
It’s uncanny how Pimp C and Static both died at 33, 2 months in between. Pimp dying before turning 34 and Static just after turning 33
People die every day who was supposed to turn 33 and 34 .. y'all weird
I like this dude he’s a good convo bring him back
It’s no coincidence that he died at 33
Exactly
Bless his family and friends
Static Major SO UNDERRATED. That Playa album was super slept on, plus the work he did with Aaliyah on her self titled album RIP to Static
Long live static major Louisville Kentucky legend 💯💯💯
Static Major is one of my favorite producers/singers
That’s crazy but I know what homie talking about. He not trying to be specific on what he feel out of fear. Smh
Static major was really dope as I got older looking back into all his work with Aaliyah he really just knew how to write
my heart drop seeing this title static is my fav artist and producer of all time and influenced my sound alot
That carter 3 took Wayne to another level & all the features before it & after it but lollipop definitely was a massive crossover record it’s not any Wayne heads favorite song but to the casuals they loved it man so he ain’t lie that Shi definitely helped
Rest in peace Static Major! The genius behind the majority of Aaliyahs hits.
God Bless Man
Static a Louisville legend
I wish more people knew what he did for the music industry. Rest his soul❤️
That Static Major til the wheels fall off remix with Pretty Ricky goes hard to this day. Gone way too soon.
502 is so full of talent but Static was a Goat. I still listen to Playa and alot of music he produced. All classic music. So sad we lost such a musical genius so early.
R.I.P. to my dawg an forever a Louisville legend Stephen Garrett aka Static Major
