How I take iPad notes in medical school (GoodNotes5 & Notability)

LONG TIME NO SEE! I'M SORRY. To be honest, I've been spending way too much time on Twitch / Genshin Impact.
In this video, I recorded my process of taking medical school notes using GoodNotes5 and Notability. I know it can be quite expensive for students to purchase both apps, but I’ve personally found using both very helpful for organization and studying :)

loved this a lot! also, i'm not sure if you know this but you can actually "scroll" through the pages on goodnotes as well. you just have to change the setting!

Hey!! welcome back!! i missed your videos and your iconic captions :) I saw you were using the AHA apple pencil case? I was wondering if it became loose easily or if it held well? I'm looking for an apple pencil case and that one is very popular on amazon but there aren't reviews on long term use xx
Hey! Tbh I’m not too sure how to feel about the case. They come in a set of two. My first one stretched out and became unusable within 2 months, while the other one has been lasting me perfectly for over 10 months. Overall, I’d say it’s worth it for the price!

OMG! Perhaps the first time I’m receiving a heart and a reply at the same time lol!
And, u had a damaged Apple Pencil tip right? Happened to me to and it’s not about the screen protector. I recommend getting a silicone tip protector. It’s definitely worked
Ouuu I also tried silicon tips and didn’t really like how they felt ;-; But now I’m using Paperlike V2 and it’s much better than the knockoff!
Ahhh, I use a glass screen protector lol 😆
Why not use notability also for taking notes? Wouldn't it be easier to use 1 app instead of 2 or is there an extra feature in goodnotes5 that is not available in notability?

There is no difference between GoodNotes5 VS Notability if you want to take simple notes with words only. I found that the layout / format of GoodNotes5 is more convenient for making "aesthetic" notes (less clicks are required to change pen colours, etc.), and the shape / highlighting function is much better for drawing diagrams.
Also, I like splitting screen between Notability (ppt) & Goodnotes (notes). As of now, you cannot split screen between 2 Notability pages. (You CAN split screen between 2 Goodnotes pages though.)
You're right though, when people ask me which one of the two apps they should get if they are only able to purchase one, I always recommend Notability :)
How do you find the pdf versions of your textbooks? I feel like every time I purchase it’s through a proprietary app
I get mine through my school library! But if you’re really rogue you couuuld theoretically technically unethically google something called ❌libgen.io❌
I also use notability for slides and GoodNotes for note taking 😅

Thank you for this. I’m trying to figure out GoodNotes for my Korean studies, but I really love paper so we’ll see how much I use this.
Nice to see a video where you see the process from start to finish without a lot of complicated widgets and sticker use (I mean, they’re cute but I’m not at that level yet 🤣).
I’m also a nurse so I’m hoping you’re still doing well in medical school cause we need more doctors with good handwriting 🥹🙏🏼😂
