Wikipedia: Unchained Melody is a song written by Alex North (music) and Hy Zaret (lyrics), and it was first released in 1955 as the soundtrack and theme song for the film Unchained, hence the name. The film is about an inmate in a prison who is in the dilemma of whether he should escape or serve out his sentence so that he can be reunited with his loved one.

I is amazing how better it sounds with a good orchrestra to back her up. I must have been a privilege for the orchrestra to again play for her. Simply a moving performance to say the least. This grandma is who introduced Angelina to jazz when she was around 3. Angelina was influenced by grandma so much and if you notice you see the grandma in her music videos and TikToks.

What a beautiful performance by Angelina! Man, I had tears in my eyes as well. Sheesh! This is right up there with her Portsmouth performance. Looks like Boris posted the performance on this as well. By the way, not sure if you felt this way, but the beginning musical instrumentation of this reminded me of the movie Ghost from 1990 with Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg. It's very similar and as soon as I heard it start, my mind told me this sounds like it came from the movie soundtrack. I'm still shook but also so proud at the same time. Way to go Angelina!

Chris, it is so difficult to sing this song yet there was Angelina standing there so beautiful doing what she loves to do. The setting was remarkable and probably the only person there who was not nervous or on edge, was Angelina. Her voice tempts the Holy and unholy. Within those majestic tones we literally hear her through her heart and the love we feel is genuine and there is no mistaking it is taking place. She knows we are a family and that we invite more people to join us. Is she the guiding light? Or, a Messenger of Love. No tricks. No magic. This performance proves once again that Angelina is not a money making machine. She is an artist and the world needs art. I hope that she never changes her stile, although is up to her. For me, she is the best singer ever, but I also think that she should go to college, or to a well known academy tu study more, so she can takes us to places beyond our galaxy. Wahtever she does, she is the best, but you can not be considered a finish product when you are so young and smart as she is. Fame and fortune are good, but sometimes the price is to high. Agree on everything, but not that Angelina should go to the academy to study more. Because I am convinced that you understand music more than many professors. At the online Christmas concert 2 years ago, legendary musicians played for her and treated her as an equal, like one of their colleagues and not like a student to be taught. The same happened with the musicians of this orchestra, one of the most important in Europe.
Angelina studied self-taught and perhaps this was her luck.

Angelina started at 18 months and has been with for the last 17 years perfecting her voice writing songs, writing a book donating her time all over the world and she is now starting to break through, not that millions people haven’t already heard her but I think her family have enjoyed the journey and I believe this was the best for Angelina and all of us that took the journey love her so much I’m in my mid Seventies and like a lot of it is like watching one of my grandkids and have 10 Thanks 👍🙏👣💯🌹 And not taking anything away from Elvis Loved him to it was really more abrupt for him and he was older 👍

I believe this is at least the second time Angelina performs at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony - the first time she was just a little tyke (when Malala was awarded the NP prize, I believe). Angelina's versions of any given song are always unique, sometimes with only a single instrument for support, sometimes a full grand orchestra - and anything in between. Always appropriate for the occasion.

I agree, Chris, her genius allows her so perform any song just the way she sees fit for the occasion, and I also agree that those last high notes are the best I have heard from her. I did sense that she was running a bit short of breath on two occasions, but performing here has been one of her biggest dreams I think, and so the whole setting may be quite taxing in many different ways. Singing like she does is some kind of extreme sport on the very highest level, and only the very best athletes have any chance to shine. Angelina definitely is that. And she did that. Thanks for recording, reacting, editing and uploading so quickly. Skillz, albeit somewhat different from the ones Angelina possesses.😅
