- This is how to video on installing a trs fatty 12 inch extension for your honda ruckus, along with showing you key points on grinding the frame for perfect fitment. The drill bit used on the bolt holes are 10mm use a 13/32 or X or Y drill bit. If you are going to powder coat the frame we recommend doing a dry fit because you might have to grind the welds slightly so the clamps fit flush against the frame on the left side between the seat frame and the stock shock mount.

Great informative video Bobby.........Thankyou.
It would be nice to see what the kit looks like completely finished and assembled on the bike.
go to our hotlap sidewinder v1 video its on there
@@Theruckshop Ok thanks
Do you have to make it flush? If I were to not grind it down, how would it affect it
I was wondering if I could focus on the back end first as far as the engine swap goes & then later on work on the front end
abraham linan such as ? Have you looked at our tip and tricks under the GY6 videos . It's pretty much all there .
You might want to check out Motonosity on CZcams he has a 25 video build series we sponsored
Hey Ruck shop! New to the ruckus scene and I’m looking at your 9.5 stretch kit for the 49cc and was wondering when that is installed can I use my stock shock on the back or will I need an extension?
you can use the stock shock. There's a picture of a ruckus on the site under that part with the stock shock on it. The blue and black one. It will be soft though so eventually you will need a beeffer shock
The Ruck Shop awesome thanks!
Bobby u guys sale a shorter stretch kit that i can run a fatty tire setup on lmk pls
Will this mount work with stock 49cc motor and the Mesh love 13x8 3/5 offset wheel from dorbyworks?
yes it will
Should I do this mod first on my stock ruck before anything else, if I plan on going gy6 swap? What would you recommend I do first? I don’t want to buy parts for them to become obsolete. I understand if I buy parts for the 49cc, nothing will carry over besides the rear shock, so I’m just trying to be careful and choose mods wisely. (I’m a brand new ruck owner)
you can buy this first yes, but you will not be able to use it till everything else is purchased for the gy6. the mount in the video is for 49cc and will not work so i wouldnt get it if you plan on going gy6
Buy a gy6 first then
you could still buy it and then when you go gy6 just sell it.. there are a lot of 49cc guys that will buy it
Nice
Hey guys....I got a question.....I can use a ruckus stretch kit on my 50 cc Chinese scooter......?any help would be great 👍 thank you 🙏!
Nope
anyone know if this would work on a ruckus that does not have a GY6 motor? can I still convert it into a fatty with the kit and will the shock and conversion kit install correctly?
That’s what this video is for haha this says it’s for a 49cc in the title.
how much does the full kit cost just for the stretch not including the Back rim? Please let me know I'm interested in installing on my Ruckus soon! And can you stretch it using the stock back rim?
please email us at info@theruckshop.com please tell us what kind of stretch you are looking for. if its 6.5 or 9.5 then you can use a stock tire but will not be able to go fatty. if its a fatty stretch then you will have to go fatty since the offset of the wheel will not be centered. we will look forward to your email. thank you
right on thank you man! that pretty much answered my question! I'll be emailing you some time this month or next. Looking forward
awesome we appreciate the future business!
The Ruck Shop with this kit i would still need to buy the rear shock????also can i keep my stock rim with this kit
@@Theruckshop bobby which stretch kits. Are for regular back tire and which for. Fatty i know the 12 inch fir fatty trs ine right but how bout that 9 1/2 man.lmk ty
Is there a way to put a fat tire without extended it?
no the biggest you can go is 12x5, otherwise you need the fatty mount to counter the offset the wheel gives you. if you tried to put a fat tire on without the mount it would not be centered with the frame and you would have to lean hard to the right in order to counter steer the bike to stay straight.
My exhaust is a Yoshimura trc, will it still fit?
yes
🤘🖒
Do you need to run a fatty tire with this stretch kit?
yes you do because of the offset
what size of wheel can you fit in this kit? would it fit 12x8 wheel?
yes if you look in the description it shows it is for the 12x8. it will work for both 12x8 and 12x7
will this wheels on the link➡ fit? www.monstergy6.com/Indy-Wheel_moreinfo.html
sorry i'm new to ruckus. thanks in advance
13x8 dont fit?
does the oem wiring harness fit with this stretch kit?
yes
I have the ncy 6.5 inches stretch so i have the throttle and brake cable that comes with that kit. Will that be long enough for this stretch kit and i lower my handle bar???
@@danielsaul4083 it should. the brake cable does for sure. i would assume the throttle will
Kinda looks like the composimo mount.
it kind of does.. but it was made a little better with a bigger hole for the carb to actually fit through and we have the fuel line hole which theirs doesnt. design is different to.
