  • Originally aired on 7th October 2016 on BBC One, CanTrack return for another series. This time chasing a telehandler through Poland on a job that had a huge team working hard from the Met Plant Squad to the UK and Polish embassies and Police force.
    A fantastic team effort resulted in a recovery just short of the Ukraine border that would have required a more specialised team.

      @@czarweed1847 the point is HE said WE WILL FOLLOW YOU TO THE END OF THE EARTH. Well if he's threatening that he should not signal "but we stop at the Ukraine". Either its the END or not. You telling people to use their ears! Use your own advice.

      travelnc2g thats a figure of speech, the guy I replied to said it’s because there not in the EU when the guy in the video said it’s due to the war, so why don’t you listen.

    I've been on a few sites where you see the tracks of one of these, drive down the road and then on the back of a lorry.
    We only ever see one of them again.

    This doesn't really give me much confidence in your product if it took 10 days for it to "wake up". In that time the machine was able to get quite a distance away from where it was stolen. If your device had sent a signal as soon as it was reported stolen you would have had a much easier time recovering it.
    You say at the end "We will go to the end of the earth to recovery goods", you should have added "as long as it's not Ukraine"

    • @jordanmpaul
      @jordanmpaul Před 4 lety +1

      The signal is dependent on where the unit is. Inside a building or shipping container won't allow a signal until it is able to.

    That is not quite so accurate. There is ALWAYS a queue at the border and it can take 24 hours to go through. You will pass a queue of parked lorries that can be a couple of miles long. Go ahead to the border police and explain. Stand at the side of the road until you get a ping from a passing truck and job done.

    The only reason the machinery was spotted, is because the group did not keep a jammer on the vehicle after it was completely exported out the UK ...there is nothing special about the frequency cantrack works at . it can easily be jammed and taken off of the network

    So you hat a lot of time to stop it within Germany and did not use the chance? The Lorry could not get through Germany in one shift would have been easy to catch him. So if i want a tracker from your company i am better of chasing down the machine by myself

    You need to make trackers that do not turn off.

      AutomatricsMTrack comes to mind. The owner can forget to activate that system, but it still sends out a 'heartbeat' every few hours, just as do many tablets, phones and laptops, and from that heartbeat signal, the system's tracker and alarms and GPS can be activated via a phone or internet signal. So a lost item can be located, usually within a day.
