Ram 1500 DT (2019- 2024+) SmartBeam Automatic High Beam Headlight Install with Programming

In this video I will be upgrading my 2020 Ram 1500 DT to SmartBeam Automatic High beam headlights. This process should work for all DT half ton trucks. The heavy duty trucks should be similar.
As far as I know, the only prerequisite is that the truck should already have an auto dimming rear view mirror. You do not need to have LED headlights.
Supplies needed:
- OEM rear view mirror with SmartBeam (check ebay and LKQ Online!)
-When checking for used mirrors, if you don't have a picture of the part, make sure to run the vin number of the parts truck to verify that it has Smart Beam. LKQ had 90% of their parts trucks mislabeled as having Smart Beam.
-I use this site to check window stickers of FCA vehicles. Just replace the 17 "x"s at the end with the VIN number: www.ramtrucks.com/hostd/windo...
- Security bypass harness
- Alfa OBD software
- OBD connector compatible with AlfaOBD
You will need to active the below options with AlfaOBD in the Car Configuration Change Menu:
1: VehicleConfig 1: Auto Highbeam- Yes
2: 2014 CBC Config I/O & Feat.: Auto High Beam Module Location- ECC AHBM
3: CustSetMenu 1: Auto High Beam CSM Present- Yes
4: Lin & Misc: SMart Beam Present (AHBM)- Yes (Note: This may not show up in Alfa OBD depending on your BCM version. My truck did not need it)

After doing research so many options can be added to the 19-24 lower trim level rams for little costs. Personally the plug and play leather seats out of Laramie was my favorite upgrade.

FYI, for my 2022 RAM 1500 DT the High Beam Module Location needed to be set to : CRVMM

Thanks for the video, I am getting conflicting info on the mirrors, the salvage yards are saying the "camera" is part of the front crash avoidance system, and the auto high beam mirror looks nearly identical to the auto dimming, just a part number change.

The good way to tell is to plug the VIN of the part truck into a website that gives you the window sticker. You will need at least a Laramie with the level 1 package. But the window sticker should list SmartBeam if the truck has it.
If you can see a picture of the actual mirror, it has a forward looking "eye" with a red and a green sensor inside. It does not have a camera.
